"I had a harrowing experience today at the Farmington hills location. I was earlier informed I had a cavity in my wisdom tooth and they diagnosed it had to be extracted. I never had any sensitivity issues and have healthy gum line. They never showed me any pictures confirming the cavity and took time to explain why the tooth had to be removed. They never explained anything about the procedure how it will be done. When asked they very lightly passed a one line comment saying it’s a very simple procedure which will be done applying local anesthesia. I took their word and today I was there for my wisdom tooth extraction. Ahmad Allam was the doctor performing the procedure. He never took time to talk to me about the procedure and see if I had any questions before beginning. I was given local anesthetic and he tried to pull the tooth with plier kind of instrument. I was able to feel the pain so he gave anesthetic again and tried to pull again. I complained of pain and he gave anesthetic for the third time and tried again to wiggle and pull my teeth for third time and this time I was feeling the pain up to my head. This time he said I have to be completely sedated before pulling the tooth and that he will not be able to do that and just left. He never spent time to talk to me how I was feeling and explaining what he tried and why he was unable to pull the tooth. I was directed to the front desk and I was handed a referral to oral surgeon and asked me to take appointment ASAP for the extraction procedure. They also gave prescription for pain. Now I’m hanging in there with my tooth pulled half way with my gum bleeding and had to hurry to the oral surgeon for the next steps. I’m totally surprised and angry at the incompetence of Dr Ahmad as any experienced doctor should be able to assess the situation much better and be able to identify with first try that he won’t be able to complete the procedure and refer me to next steps. He didn’t have to try so hard three times messing my tooth and leaving me half way. Now I have to live with the pain of half pulled tooth until I get appointment for surgery."

"Edit: I don't know how the hell this center and the dentists got such a good rating. I guess patients with no real problem gave those reviews. It's very frustrating to write a review at 4am. My wife has been there for a couple of fillings on 11/11/19, and she is still getting excruciating pain in one side of her jaw. She had to take heavy dose of pain killers. We have to look for another dentist now.. I will sue the smile dental for the torture my wife is going through."

"Wow, this office blew my mind! Was hands down, the best dental experience I've ever had! Chose this office cause it was close to home but they were so fast and efficient. I was helped by minimum 5 associates and every single person was so genuinely friendly & helpful. My appt was on a Sunday and I was in & out in less than an hour. Would absolutely recommend them!!"
