The culture does not encourage collaboration and mutual support, making it an unpleasant place to work. 2. Poor Leadership: The leadership at Milford Counseling Inc. is severely lacking. "Don't come here looking for help, all the upper management care about is money. They will continue to try to charge people even after they have been discharged from the program. The counselors are fairly decent people but don't try to have any actual major problems solved by the people who can do anything about it, Liz treats people like dogs(clients and employees alike) and Rhett just lets it happen. Can't say much outside of that without breaking any laws but save yourself the frustration and financial cost by going to a real 3/4 house that actually wants people to be in a better position than when they got there. And a personal message from me to the two mentioned above: You should be ashamed of yourselves for the way you run this place, taking advantage of people already in dire straits and trying to have a cult of whipped financially abused dogs. I hope you lose sleep at night over kicking people out with nowhere to go who are passing drug tests, going to meetings, doing step work and paying your bills. I know you won't though because that requires a conscience. Hope any prospective clients see this and run for the hills."

"This facility is listed on my insurance provider's website as a participant. Upon calling, being put on hold for 20 minutes then speaking to an intake employee, giving my insurance information and submitting all forms I was advised that I would be receiving a follow up call to make an appointment. After ten days I hadn't received a call. After contacting them myself I was informed that my insurance was not accepted. Why was I not informed of this when I provided my insurance provider during the initial conversation, before providing personal information? After asking why I had just been discarded without being informed I was given the excuse that they'd missed it. If they cant pay attention to these details I couldn't imagine what their patient care looks like."

"Be VERY careful before choosing to go here. This place is a money grab and every single person there is involved. Trust the other negative reviews- do not believe Milford Counseling’s replies or the positive reviews they make for themselves. Manipulative and condescending office staff and management. Kim is nuts. The owners seem to be extreme as well. It’s really sad that a place like this is a thing. How are people so vile allowed to deal with individuals in vulnerable states? Once again… please just be careful."
