Reviews of Ada Vision
"Avoid this place. Spent two months trying to find contacts that allowed me to see, was told wrong contacts were ordered due to a computer glitch, after this was discovered it then took another week for them to offer a refund, and figure things out. The first 3 sets of contacts made me sick/dizzy/headaches. Never once saw the doctor wash his hands in any of my visits, the doctor insisted on putting in contacts in my eye himself without seeing him wash his hands. I never received any paperwork or receipts for my initial exam, said they were figuring out the system, I got my prescription information eventually after I informed them I would not like to do business with them any longer. They don't even deserve 1 star."
"New to the area a year ago. Went here for eye exam and they recommended progressive lenses. Pd $500+ for these progressive lenses. Came back about a month after getting them cause one lense was a little off and told them they didn't feel right. They said it takes time to get used to them and they had to recenter one of the lenses. Got them back and tried to get used to them over the last 7 or 8 months came back and told them they make me dizzy and give me headaches. They said you should have complained about that within 3 months there is nothing we can do and wanted me to pay more to get them changed. Now I have a $500 paper weight. My wife and I will not be back. Follow up 9/28/21 Had a new eye exam at another Dr. Office and turns out Ada Vision also made my prescription too powerful resulting in dizziness and headaches and adding to the reason the progressives weren't working for me."
"I’ve never left a review before this, but this must be known. The lack of understanding of participating insurance benefits lead to an overcharge that I had to pay prior to seeing the doctor, or I had ‘the option to cancel my appointment.’ The older woman at the desk stated my insurance “required” they charge this fee for this service, etc. but refused to provide the documentation she had that stated such guidelines. She was snippy, dramatic, loud, and the waiting room was also where the private exchange of finances and patient information was discussed. It took 3 hours from my appointment time to get in and out of that office. I left with long wear sample contacts I hadn’t requested - I wear dailies for a reason. I wear a specific brand for a reason, which I explained. I need prescription eye drops for a rheumatic diagnosis, which I explained. All very difficult to communicate when the doc was jumping between patients and had multiple interruptions. The doc was certain his sample contacts would magically resolve my eye condition related to my rheumatic diagnosis, and really didn’t want to write a script for the eye drops I need. When I made the appointment, I was very clear that I needed to order contacts the next day. This was fine with the individual who scheduled me. I was told to bring the details of my current prescription and brand so they could check the fit and order based off that information. At the time of my appointment the older lady at the desk confirmed that I didn’t need a recheck before my contacts were ordered the next day. As I left, after 3 hours, the older lady sniped that she had verified I had to have a recheck on my contacts before they would order anything for me. The only change to my contacts was the brand the doc was pushing on me and the power - this is why the recheck was suddenly necessary. The doctor was nice enough and knowledgeable, but the lack of professionalism and support he received dramatically reduced his level of care. My reference in the office was “the new patient,” rather than my name. The doc never introduced himself or referred to me by name. As he repeatedly touched my eyes, I don’t know if he washed his hands at all. There were multiple interruptions, he ran out of the room multiple times, grabbed two different pair of contacts and opened them, putting them in my eyes - I never saw him wash his hands. My eyes were irritated and goopy later that evening and the next day. The trial contacts obviously were then contaminated. There’s no way I’m returning for a recheck on contacts I don’t want so they can continue their attempt to upsell me on glasses or more expensive contacts. The office won’t release my exam prescription so I can order my own contacts (the same brand I’ve worn for many years), or release the prescription to my previous optometrist so they can order the contacts. As it stands, my insurance company couldn’t get through to the office, the office wouldn’t return my call, and they refused to release my prescription to my optometrist of 25 years. I’ve had eye exams yearly for 40 years, so this is not a new process for me. An eye exam should take 30 minutes and the patient usually knows what works best for them. I didn’t go there to buy a time share in Boca, sit for 3 hours, and get hustled, but that’s how I feel."
"I am a very difficult fit for contacts. Dr Reyburn has been practicing g a long time. He is very knowledgeable and aware of what vision needs different people have. He worked with me until my prescription was perfect. I wear a different prescription in each eye, have presbyopia and astigmatism. It isn't a matter of having high tech equipment, it s a matter of knowledge about which products will work for each person. I have gone to chain stores before and bought a years worth of contacts that didn't fit right and didn't work for both near and far. He accepted my insurance (which LensCrafters would not). He also uses high quality zeiss lenses in his eye glass prescriptions. I highly recommend."
"I have been wearing glasses and dealing with optometrists for 30 years now. I was always somewhat frustrated until I started seeing Dr. Reyburn. With him I get an excellent eye exam with state of the art equipment, accurate testing, and excellent eyesight!. When I try to find someone closer to home to save travel time, I again, am disappointed as the exam is not as thorough as his. So I learned along time ago, if you want the best, you have to travel to the best. Dr. Reyburn has always done an excellent job for me... definitely worth the trip!"
