"Their patient portal is LESS than user friendly. Every year I try to make an account and EVERY time I encounter trouble at the passwords part. Different messages about the problem. Passwords dont match, doesnt meet requirements… yet there isnt an option “to see” so can fix what doesnt match, no access to what the requirements are…. Etc. Perhaps their program isnt ipad or iphone friendly??? I do not want to have to use a desktop. Why do I have to call to get the link? If you are putting the option in your confirmation appointment letter why isnt the link available there? As a result once again this year I am stuck with providing paper pencil information that gives me another responsibility- remember to bring them to the appointment!!"

"Do not see doctor Beibart I contacted him July 14 because it felt like my eye was being pushed out and lost of vision. He was not concerned. July 31st I Ended up having stroke. Saw him on august 8th. And still no concern. See you in 2 years even though I expressed my concern. Ended up three days later at Bronson and now fighting to save my site in my right eye. Problems since surgery he called it a jelly eye Do not trust him. I just had to have emergency glaucoma surgery."

"One of the worst places I have worked. Some of the safe are really nice. But if you do anything wrong you get yelled at by some of the doctors and some of the managers. The doctors talk about patients badly all the time and do not treat staff correctly. If you are sick you can’t leave and they managers do nothing when you are being bullied by other employees."

"I accompanied my husband to Kalamazoo Ophthalmology as he is unable to drive as he has a boot on his right leg due to ankle surgery. I planned on sitting in the waiting room during his appointment as it’s cold outside in my car (after all it is February in Michigan). Upon entering I was told I had to either accompany my husband during his entire visit or sit in my car - I could not sit in the waiting room. The chairs are spaced far apart and I had a mask on. There was only one other person sitting - so plenty of empty chairs. One front desk lady got sassy and suggested I get my husband’s keys and (made a cranking motion with her hand) turn my car on. I guess she assumed I don’t have my own keys, don’t know how to start it, and love to waste gas that I paid $3.21 a gallon for. I would have gladly opted for them to ask me those ridiculous c*vid questions and take my temperature just so I could sit in the empty waiting room. So here I am in my cold car for the next hour. Thanks a lot."

"For the third time in less than two years I have found myself with somewhat urgent eye care needs. With a single phone call I had a same-day appointment scheduled. Dr Standford and his staff were so kind and professional. He listened carefully to my concerns, diagnosed my problem and prescribed medication. He told me how soon I should expect improvement and that I should contact him if my recovery didn’t follow that timeline. The written care instructions and other tips that I was sent home with were very helpful in using the prescribed eye drops properly and speeding the healing process. Within two days I saw a dramatic improvement and I am confident that there will be complete resolution. I have not used Kalamazoo Ophthalmology for routine eye exams, eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions in the past, but based on the care I have received they will be my first choice for all of my eye care needs. Everyone I interacted with exceeded my expectations for friendliness, professionalism and customer service."
