"This office had many red flags, I should have ended my care with them in the middle of my pregnancy as soon as I saw the warning sigs. Some of these were: Lost glucose results, failing to communicate testing results, wrongful diagnose. The providers don't agree with each other. I was diagnosed with a skin condition and my next appt. with a different provider I was diagnosed with a different thing. Your questions and concerns will never be fully answered because you are only scheduled for 15 mins. As a first time mom, I felt rushed all the time. This office is certainly more concerned about the quantity of patients over the care of their patients. I was induced in September '23, a week before being 40 weeks pregnant due to medical "concerns" per my provider. I wish I would have said no, but I genuinely trusted them, and as a first timer I didn't know any better. Dr. Gindelberger was on her 3rd day on call that day, I followed all her recommendations hoping to have a vaginal delivery. I was checked in at 8am on Sunday, she started me on a foley bulb, a few hours after, she checked my cervix and I had not progressed. At around 8pm she broke my water and started me on pitocin. My baby's heart rate dropped, after she started the pitocin. I had several nurses and Dr. Gindelberger in my room right away. They stopped the pitocin, hours went by and I had not seen the doctor and I asked my nurse for her, and she informed me that she left the hospital and went home. It was my understanding that doctors on call should stay at the hospital, and she doesn't live in Goshen. Instead, she gave instructions to the nurses to get me back on pitocin to get my labor going. The entire night I had nurses coming in and out of my room, flipping me over. Monitors were on silent, and they told me to try to sleep and rest because I wasn't going to have energy to "push" when the time came. When I finally got to see Dr. Gindelberger, she came in to inform me that my labor wasn't progressing and that I was going to need a c-section. She informed me at 6:45AM, 15 minutes before her shift was over. She said Dr. Weaver would come in and perform the c-section. Dr. Weaver comes in my room, reads the reports from the night and rushes the nurse to get me consent forms. She then, wheels me out of the room HERSELF and had my baby out in 8 minutes! I was informed there was meconium present from my baby being in distress and I also developed an infection in my placenta due to the lack of care of Dr. Gindelberger. After reading my hospital reports, I learned that my baby struggled all night, he had heart decelerations for HOURS. I was so upset, I ended up developing post partum anxiety/depression. Goshen Physicians please do better, you have to remember what you're dealing with are human lives here. This provider was so desensitized, and my care and my baby's life was NOT a priority at all. I understand that this was her 3rd day on call, but that is not an excuse for the horrible care I received."
"First time ever coming here and the staff treated me absolutely fantastic. From front desk to NP Denae Belle. Fast and easy check in and did not have to wait but 15 minutes to be seen and I was even 45 minutes early! The NP was so genuine and actually listened to my concerns. The front desk did everything they could to accommodate me so they could get me in quickly. Love this place so far!!"
"I love Dr Gibson. The only reason this OBGYN is getting 3 stars at this point. This is my second appointment and BOTH times I’ve had to wait over an hour to be seen. I don’t understand how if I am late to an appointment they cancel and reschedule but then have me waiting over an hour to be seen. Make it make sense! There is lack of communication on waiting times. People who arrived after me were called back almost immediately. Again, if it wasn’t for Dr Gibson being the only doctor I’ve ever had to listen to my concerns, I wouldn’t come back."
"If I could give a zero star I would. I’ve been a patient for years. Started having severe pelvic pain due to a fibroid a year a half ago. My psychiatrist, therapist, and PCP have taken my pain more seriously. I see a different provider every time I come in and I don’t know why. I get a prescription for something that never works and I have to advocate to get a follow up appointment. The pain is so severe I’ve ended up in the ER and have had to miss work. I came in 3 times ago saying I’m only talking about surgical options and have left with a prescription. My med follow up was with yet another doctor who said they couldn’t do anything but med management b/c they weren’t my regular Dr. I start sobbing out of frustration and my Dr appeared out of nowhere (apparently they were on call?) and put a referral in to Ft Wayne for me to have surgery…”high priority.” I called to check in because I didn’t trust them to actually follow through and lo and behold, the Dr never finished their note and the referral was never sent. The person who was answering my call had my chart right in front of them and had no idea what the referral was for or where it was for. Meanwhile, I’m in so much pain. I get messing up every now and again, or forgetting something, but this has gone on for over a year. If you’re looking for a place that takes women’s pain seriously, go elsewhere. If you’re looking for a place that actually follows though with what they say they’re going to do, go elsewhere."
"I've visited several Goshen Health offices that were all great, except this one. Being pregnant for the first time, I did not expect myself having to advocate for myself so much. I have to call in all the time simply for a RX to be sent in or even blood test results. They never even called when my genetic testing results came in. They always say they are short staffed, yet I still should not have to call in multiple times to get simple answers. I think they worry too much about getting new patients in but not taking care of routine patients. I am going to be switching to another OB for a better experience."
