"I searched for literal years to find someone like Amanda. Remember how it felt to be a kid and have sleepovers with your friends and do nails, some fun face masks and laugh until you cried? Same energy here. In all seriousness, I originally started seeing Amanda for pedicures because I was terrified of getting foot fungus from the higher volume nail salons in GR and found medical pedicures to be almost too clinical with lackluster results. Every product she uses is pre-portioned out and all over her tools meticulously sanitized. There's no jetted bowl with God-knows-what germs floating around it in, but a freestanding tub she cleans in between each client... and you get the coziest, reclining chair in the world, too. All of this paired with her extreme thoroughness and mastery of her craft has left my feet in the best shape ever. For the first time in 10 years, I don't have any cracks on my heels and am walking pain free! She uses only high quality polishes and my toes actually grow out before the polish chips — magic! When it comes to hands, I was convinced I couldn't do shellac without ruining my fingernails, but no. The products and techniques she uses have my nails feeling strong, healthy and enjoying shellac again. Lastly, I decided to try a dermaplaning treatment with her this week. To say I'm a bit of a self care enthusiast is putting it lightly, I've been to every medical spa and esthetician in town and take my skincare very seriously. So I was again blown away when what I thought would be a basic service turned out to be one of the most luxurious experiences of my life. Everything was custom tailored to my skin and who would've thought it was possible to doze off while getting your face razored off? The facial massage drained my sinuses for the first time in months. TMI but there was actual snot dripping out of my nostril (so embarrassing but she's seriously that good.) If you're looking for a truly luxurious experience from start to finish, you must visit!
