"I went to Gillis back in April as I have loss of curve in my neck and have struggled with migraines for years. I have received chiropractic care in the past and it had brought me some relief so I decided to try again. I’m not necessarily saying this is a bad place but my whole experience was not great and I wish I had known more before spending money and wasting my time. Everyone there is nice but it seems like all this place cares about is sales and making money. I had initial visit, x-rays and a few adjustments. My adjustments I had there brought me no relief and I would get a migraine hours after being adjusted. Then they had the class. Boy oh boy. It felt like they were trying to literally brainwash you. They make you attend this class and push that you bring a family member. I am actually glad I brought my fiance to stand up for me. They do this whole course about how their treatment plans can change your whole life and all this. Then they rush through your specific treatment plan and rush you into paying for it. The CHEAPEST option for me was $3600 for 3 months! WITH insurance! They wanted me to come 3 times a week and do traction as well. They told us we didn’t have to pay until I had my next visit but then rushed me and pushed me into paying everything up front 5 minutes later! I am not the best at standing up for myself and paid it but a few days later called and made them refund me. I had already spent hundreds of dollars for two adjustments plus 2 sets of x rays. And the adjustments didn’t even help me. To also add onto another review I saw - yes they make you take off your shirt and bra if you are female and put on a robe for the adjustments which is extremely odd and uncomfortable and unnecessary as I have gone to three other chiropractors and they have never done that. Not saying this place can’t help some people. But be prepared to pay thousands."

"My family and I have been a patient at Gillis Chiropractic for the past 6+ years. My past experience has been outstanding. My wife and I have not needed any adjustments in the past two years due to overall better health. But recently, my wife felt a need for an adjustment. We made an appointment but were asked to make a new patient visit, which we understand they need to get up-to-date x-rays and stuff. They charged us the total amount when we only had a copay of $45. They said they called my insurance and could not understand the insurance provider, so I got stuck with the cost upfront. I asked myself, is Gillis Chiropractic only concerned with payments? I called the office and asked them to follow up with the provider. They did contact the provider and I only needed to cover the copay. I will receive the difference in her treatment, but now I must wait for the insurance billing to be finalized. My wife went for her first follow-up and 1st adjustment. Tammy brought her a plan and paperwork. She told her that a payment plan needed to be made upfront. In the past, I could leave a copy of the payment card on file and get charged as required. I was told this is a new policy—another red flag about how they are only concerned with the payment first, then your health. I called the office back, but they are too busy to get you answers. I asked if they could treat my wife, but only as needed. They are still looking into it. The office supervisor is out of the office and I was told they have hundreds of other customers. Huh? The answer I know I'll get back is, "We wish you the absolute best on your health journey.""

I've never waited more than five minutes after walking in the door and more times than not, I was able to go right to the prep room. A top notch facility that is clean, well lit and odor free. I enjoy my visits there and always leave feeling great! I would highly recommend Gillis Family Chiropractic."
