"Peace Ranch, Traverse City - Michigan provide support for veterans, children, teens and adults through their Equine Assisted Therapy program. It’s a great place to go if suffering from mental illness examples like social anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, mood disorders (bipolar/depression). Their client lead approach makes those that need assistance feel comfortable and not forced to chat especially if their not ready to. It’s run by highly trained, skilled and knowledgeable staff that are willing to walk through the Clients issues and challenge that they may face on a daily basis and with the assistance of extremely placid, tamed animals - will be able to tackle the challenges front on. This place is also great for families to go for good wholesome family fun. They hold events that people of all ages can attend to. Highly recommend going on a Hug and Groom day. If unsure if this place is right for you, you can always be given a private tour of the ranch by a Peer Support Coordinator. I highly recommend Peace Ranch for their outgoing, friendly, knowledgeable staff, their adorable animals and relaxed atmosphere."

"These people believe they know what is best for everyone. When their neighbors pigs escaped, instead of returning them they took them. They are also refusing to return them and trying to save face by claiming they are donating them to 4-h. Now the little boys who love and care for these pics are devastated. Shame on you Peace Ranch for tainting a noble mission with a personal agenda."

"Best Equine Therapy in Traverse City! Since 2010 EAGALA is the form of therapy PEACE (Professional Equine Assisted Counseling and Education) uses & helps veterans, families in crisis, people with mental disorders etc.. Volunteering at Hug and Groom on Fridays is certainly not a chore, but an escape/ (free therapy) for me. Love the rescued animals and stories that goes with them, and appreciate the director & regular volunteers! Wonderful organization, I would highly recommend at least visiting website, if not the ranch itself."
