"I showed up for my first appointment at KMA Late, went to leave the house, had a flat tire, it was a whole thing. My appt was at 8:05 I showed up in a panic at 8:15 (tried to call to tell them I was running late, that didn't work) Not a single soul batted an eye, I'm profusely apologizing to everyone, being the first appt of the day I didn't want to set their whole schedule behind. Everyone was so kind about it and reassured me that it wasn't a big deal. My appt with Dr. Polanic was quite possibly the most calm and laid back Doctors appointment I've ever had in my entire life. Having medical issues since birth, I did the constant doctors appointment shuffle thing. The nurse that took all my vitals was a sweetheart that REALLY listened to me, and I thought that it was incredibly considerate of them to ask if I had any religious/cultural medical preferences. Final step, blood draw. I HATE getting my blood taken, it's always been a really traumatic experience for me. Ashley did an amazing job, I told her I have a bad habit of passing out every time. Not this time, I barely felt it when the "poke" came, she distracted me with conversation and it was over before I could blink. She made sure I was doing okay the whole time keeping an eye on the draw and me. For the first time ever, I didn't pass out or even feel woozy afterward. Overall, the staff was friendly, accommodating, and I felt really listened to my medical concerns."
