"The staff and doctors at East Haven are wonderful and do a great job. However, when we had our last appointment, we went into a room for our dog to be seen, and the doctor only virtually, examined my pet. The technicians in the room did all of the tests, and then relayed them to the doctor, who was on a zoom call. I have to admit, I was kind of stunned. How could you not have a doctor examine these animals in person? What if there was another health situation going on that only a doctor could identify!? Is that not what you’re paying for!? The technicians do a wonderful job, but they are not doctors and do not have the experience and skills that the doctor has. Until they change this policy, we will not be returning. I asked the receptionist if we could only see doctors in person when we made appointments but They could not guarantee this."

"Although other visits with this vet clinic have been fine, today’s surgery was an unfortunate exception. After spending $2,199.54 for the removal of a possibly cancerous lump, the surgeon Dr. Nicholas Moore refused to speak with me in person. At the time of discharge because the vet was (understandably) busy with other patients I offered to wait quietly in the waiting room but the owner of this Veterinary Practice (an older gentleman) frowned at me and said that it was very important for me to leave so I retired to my vehicle and waited in the parking lot for another two hours for a phone call from the surgeon. When he called I stated that I was in my car and that wanted to speak in person regarding the findings of the surgery. He replied that all the rooms were taken and that I should read his email. This is a very unfortunate outcome. Any pet owner has an expectation of an in-person audience with their pet’s surgeon after expensive care has been purchased. I gave a multitude of opportunities to remedy this reasonable concern before leaving this review. At no point were voices raised by either party nor were insults exchanged. All parties maintained decorum. The attached photo shows the surgery incision site about which the Dr Nicholas Moore was not willing to answer my questions in person."

"I’ve never walked into a more welcoming atmosphere than Easthaven! I have the sassiest girl with the most attitude about being handled and getting shots, but the staff at Easthaven are always so patient and willing to come up with new ways to help my kitty feel safe. Even when I had a slight issue with payment, the owner Terry phoned me and I had the most lovely conversation which lead to a great resolution for the situation. If you’re looking for a place to bring your furry loved ones, definitely check this place out! "You can tell when a place truly cares about the animals, it's just a feeling you pick up when visiting any vet clinic. I'm new to the area and recently got a precious kitten. This place has been taking such great care of her every time. She got spayed today. When I went to pick her up, they told us she urinated all over herself while in post-op care. They completely cleaned her up with waterless shampoo, and she smelled great. They answered all of my questions and concerns and are even available via text for any post op problems that may arise. I've grown to love this vet clinic."
