"I had an awesome experience with Dr. Farbod, considering that what I needed was oral surgery to remove wisdom teeth that were growing in sideways below the surface of my gums. I have been through a lot of medical procedures and surgeries and have dealt with unpleasant complications more often than not, so I was pretty nervous about the prospect of having yet another surgery…and on my teeth no less! Because of some previously negative experiences with tooth pain and loose teeth, my anxiety was compounded. However, this entire surgery was painless, followed by an uncomplicated recovery. "I could not have more amazing things to say about Facial Surgery Institute!! I am so grateful for Dr. Farbod and his staff. At the beginning of October I got my wisdom teeth extracted plus four extra teeth that were impacted. Nine teeth at once… yikes! I was so scared the night before that I couldn’t even sleep. It was my first time ever being sedated. I’m also a nervous nelly when it comes to anything medical. Plus people always tend to tell you how “awful” having your teeth removed is. The day of.. upon arrival, I was greeted by staff who took down all of my information, answered any questions I had, kept reassuring me it was going to be okay, and provided me with a personal bag of anything I would need for aftercare. Mary (who was assisting in my surgery) came out to greet me and take me back to the room. I shared my fear with her and she was very reassuring. Both her and the other assistant (I wish I could remember her name, she was amazing too) kept me calm by talking to me about my pets and the things I love in life. They answered all questions I had. Dr. Farbod came in and was very calm, kind, and caring. They all talked with me and the whole process went by so quickly. I had zero side effects to the sedation and felt just like myself right away after. They brought me into a comfy room, gave me a fuzzy blanket, and put on a nice movie for me. Dr. Farbod came in after a while and applauded me for how well I did and told me about how great everything went. After I was home, I was able to follow their very clear instructions quite easily. They also have answered every single question I have, every time I call. (Which I called again today, with questions) They are very encouraging and ask that you to continue to call for any questions or concerns you may have. The staff is so kind and knowledgeable. And I really could not have asked for a better experience. They made it as easy and painless as possible. I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for me. I really do recommend them."
