Reviews of Crosspointe Christian Church
"Wonderful atmosphere, the head pastor is an approachable guy with a story of his own and a true understanding of scripture and the magnificence of Our Lord and Savior. My teenage daughter loves coming here because the scripture is taught at a level she can comprehend. Great kids programs too."
"Excellent teaching!!! Strictly Biblical. The pastors are each talented in different ways. Very organized style of preaching, which I love. Lots of opportunities for fellowship beyond Sunday mornings. Wonderful children's programming on Sundays and AWANA and youth group programs during the week. I highly recommend Crosspointe."
"Great teaching, great bible study and very nice/friendly people. I Highly recommend this church. The services have "fill in the blank" note taking on the program so you can follow along. Very organized and clean."
"I've been going to this church for a little over year now and decided it is time to move on. There are three things I think all christian churches should have. Those are preaching, worship, and fellowship. This church has good preaching. I learn a lot and grow more as a christian whenever I visit. The fellowship is also great. People are always very welcoming and there is some fellowship in the service itself. The one thing I noticed is that it I rarely see people really worshiping God. Yes there is a band singing in the front leading people in worship, but it feels like I'm at a concert except with an audience that forgot all the words and doesn't know the tunes and aren't singing along. Once in a while I will hear an old hymn and the whole church lifts their voices and praise God as he commands, but then the band takes over again and no one is singing. The band overpowers everything. The drums and guitar are overkill. I know they can be toned down, but they never are. The songs themselves are songs I hear on the radio occasionally. Repetitive and emotional is the purpose they serve and they don't even work at this church because the band plays so bad that I want to block out the noise. In the end, you will get good preaching out if this church, but they are sorely lacking on the part where we as a congregation get to praise God."
"I heard about Crosspoint through my old church Kensington when I told them I was moving to the Grosse Pointes. I was told it was a good church and I have conceded that it defiantly is. Crosspoint is somewhat of a smaller community and I found that to be really advantageous. The thing I love about this church is that they have their small groups back to back with their services. So this makes it highly likely to go to them. You can go to church at first service and then “Sunday School” as they call it or you can do Sunday school first and then go to service. Some people just come to the service. They have a variety of different Sunday school groups to choose from and they’re very interesting to attend. Another great thing about this church is that they have bagels and cream cheese and doughnuts and coffee with different flavors of creamer, it nice when you wake up Sunday morning and there is no time to have breakfast before heading out the door for church! I came to this church and they welcomed me and I got plugged right in to it! I have found the people there to be extremely caring welcoming and true Disciples of Christ. The pastors are wonderful guys who alternate and share a clear and accurate message. Great church, I highly recommend."
