"Tranese hooked up my French braids. She knows what she's doing, with a shampoo/blow dry conditioner it. It came out sweeeet. The prices are reasonable & yes they accept walk ins. Just get in by 2pm. 5 stars. Will be coming here from now on for all my hair care needs"
"I attended Dorsey & graduated with my Culinary Degree. Borrowing money, paying back the loans you have to be serious about getting this education & stick with it. I attended Dorsey Culinary Academy in Waterford unfortunately it closed a year ago how sad for the community. I was very happy with the tools my Chefs taught me & was job ready for my internship. Great experience I will always remember the happy memories."
"I love Dorsey Roseville Academy very much!! From the 1st day I came to enroll I was treated with the utmost respect. Doug my admissions counselor was very informative and pleasant. I appreciated the fact that he wasn't trying to sell to me, he genuinely wanted to know what I wanted to do which was the Culinary Arts Program. Kevin in financial aid was always on top of things, which made the process very smooth. The administration staff is always pleasant and willing to help when you need it. Mrs. Andrea Solomon is one in particular. Mrs. Solomon is very hard-working and easy to talk to. When I 1st met her she said, "Honey I'm your mom until you graduate, so just let me know what you need!" That meant so much to me! Once I got in the program I knew that I had made the right decision. In the beginning I was very nervous but Chef Matt Schelling and Chef Russell Zampich helped me to understand that this is the best place to make mistakes...and boy have I made some!! These 2 chefs along with many others (chef simmons, chef j, chef kokenyedsi) has guided me along the way which allowed me to tap into my knowledge of what cooking really is. Cooking is so much more comfortable to me along with following recipes. I even got over my fear of killing a lobster!!!!!!! Being an adult and parent trying to complete higher education is NOT EASY AT ALL!! But being here at Dorsey Roseville campus with such positive, encouraging and motivating staff and teachers makes it all worth what I came here for. I am proud to say that I've completed my 1st 12 week module with honors and perfect attendance and on December 19, 2019 I will complete my 2nd 12 week module with honors as well and I honestly can say I couldn't have done any of this without the help of my chefs!!"
"I attended this school a few years ago. I did not feel as if I were adequately learning the material, so I stopped attending. This passed year I began classes at another school. Initially Dorsey would not give me my transcripts because of a financial aid error on their end. Finally once this was resolved I turned in my paperwork to my current school, just to find out that the program I was in at Dorsey was not accredited like I was told prior to attending. Which means all of the classes I had taken had been pointless. Just be careful when/if you decide to attend this school. Do not feel pressured to take classes, it is their job to try and get you to attend. Do not allow yourself to be pushed into something you are unsure of. Most importantly, do not believe anything you are told without documentation. If they say they can supply it at a later date, wait. It is not rude, it is smart."
