"Tenure was a bad idea. Good teachers here are few and far between. Many of them seem to struggle with the realization that they are, in fact, teachers. Trouble runs from the head down, and the new, less than jaded, and tallented educators are removed as soon as they take any problems to the office. The older talents are sent away to the higher end facilities which are designed to serve a select few "smart kids" while the "not as smart kids" are left without a budget for tissues. The music and art departments suffer, and the entire student body is left trying to compensate for the label the schoolboard decided to dump on them by not providing an equal opportunity to learn.
