Center for Advanced Studies and the Arts

Welcome to the Center for Advanced Studies and the Arts (CASA) located at 22180 Parklawn Street in Oak Park, Michigan. CASA is a unique consortium school serving students from Berkley, Clawson, Ferndale, Lamphere, Madison, Oak Park, and Pontiac school districts. We offer a variety of advanced placement courses, a dynamic visual arts curriculum, and a strong advanced dance program.

Our school day is divided into three hours: A Hour from 12:15-1:10 pm, B Hour from 1:15-2:10 pm, and C Hour from 2:15-3:10 pm. CASA is now housed in the Oak Park NOVA building, conveniently located just south of Nine Mile Road and west of Coolidge Highway.

When entering CASA, please use the main entrance, door 01, off of Parklawn. Our classrooms are primarily located on the second floor, with the exception of our 2D and 3D Art rooms on the first floor. We encourage students to proceed directly to their classrooms or the CASA Media Center upon arrival to minimize disruptions.

As a seven-school consortium, CASA provides challenging and engaging courses designed to stimulate higher-level thinking. We currently offer 16 Advanced Placement courses, including world languages, biology, philosophy, astronomy, and more. Students who participate in Advanced Placement exams may earn college credit upon successful completion.

In addition to academic courses, CASA also offers fine arts programs such as dance, drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture. Students have the opportunity to showcase their talents in local and regional competitions for potential scholarships.
