"I’m in 8th grade. From 6th grade to now, there have been major things happening. 2 years ago there was a girl smoking meth in the bathrooms, last year there was a suicide attempt, and this year someone lit a toilet paper roll on fire and a shooting threat. The staff told us we can’t have our phones in class because they cause a distraction. Yet everyone still carries their phone around. A lot of the staff makes irrational decisions and blames the students for a lot of things that don’t happen. Although Abbott says that students get a say in everything, they really don’t care what we think. They don’t care about our opinions and don’t take anything into consideration."

"For a normal, nothing amazing, school, I'd say it's 5 stars. But the thing is, normal, nothing amazing schools are just terrible in general. Schools like Sudbury Valley School make school actually good which normal public schools just aren't allowed to do. So, the school's terrible but it has to be terrible. When comparing it to other terrible schools it's really good. #SchoolSystemRebellion"

"The only reason i ever went to this school is because my friends did and now I only have like 8 friends and they all have some bs to say about or to me. I don’t like over half of the teachers, most of the kids are irritating, ignorant, or just mean. I’m not even that smart or good at doing anything in life from going there. Maybe it’s just me but I’m just going to blame it on the school because it sucks."

"I'm not exactly sure what the point of reviewing a middle school, but I've spent a little time here so I figure why not. I volunteer at an after school program at Abbott. The faculty is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and in good order. I understand that I am working with a select group of students, but I have been very impressed with their academic abilities. The classrooms, library, and students are well-equipped with technologies that help students get ahead in the 21st century. I haven't spent time with any other extra curricular programs, but there seems to be a variety of programs in sports and arts available for the students. I think Abbott is a fine choice for public schooling."

"My son's phone, two pair of shoes and a good jacket have all been stolen. We know who stole the phone but nothing was done about it. My other son left his lunch at his desk while he did something across the classroom for less than 5 minutes. When he came back to his desk a bunch of kids were ransacking his lunch. They had their grimy hands all over his food. Gross. This school is being overrun by thieves, thugs, cheaters and bullies. Instead of putting a stop to it they punish the other kids for minor infractions"
