We came to Mr. James at Northville Guitar Lessons where she almost immediately started playing. He truly knows how to teach guitar. Our daughter plays so beautifully now. "I began Northville Guitar Lessons as a beginner. Which means I knew absolutely nothing about playing the guitar. I wasn't sure about group lessons...it seemed intimidating to be in a class with people who could play and then me who barely knew how to hold a pick. However, I gave it a try and absolutely LOVE it. The classes are fun and I learned how to play chords and songs in the first month. Each week I learn more and more. Lately, I haven't had as much time to practice, but attending class with the group is still helpful and keeps me motivated. Jim does a great job placing people in the right classes and incorporating music that is requested by the students. Initially, I imagined sitting in a class with 8-12 year old kids and doing recitals for all the parents (I'm 45 and that image made me chuckle). That's not the case at all.
