"This hospital is going down hill ,from my 2 day delay in getting a procedure done ,then a call from collections when I just get wheeled back to my room. To the overall lack of cleanliness of floors and common areas. If you can't empty a trash can or vacuum a floor. I wonder how clean it is behind the scenes ..you think withl the chances of infection ,they would have a proper custodial staff."
"Truly the worst practice around. I would absolutely not send anyone I care about to this hospital. Bad experiences on multiple occasions. They will refuse to provide enough pain medication to patients unless they are practically on their deathbed. And when you try to get through, everyone on the phone is snobby, not compassionate, and makes it incredibly difficult to get through to anyone who actually knows what they are doing. If you tell them you have a problem, they will not meet your needs. For example, the man on the phone made accusations that my father hasn’t “figured out” when to take his medications and not taking proper steps in the right direction 2 after surgery, even though he is following every step in the book. This worker did everything he could to not provide the amount of pain medications that my dad was first promised in the hospital, and would not let us get through to anyone really in charge. This review goes for EVERYONE in the office/secretary not just one singular worker who was no good. I hope everyone can find proper healthcare somewhere else, a place where their first concern is the patient rather than the money they are making. All they want is money, and they do not care about how you are feeling. The surgeons are the only trustworthy source, and good luck if the staff lets you get through to them. If you need help, stay clear of this practice."
"whoever designed this hospital wasn’t thinking about patients. Two rooms per thermostat in the ER rooms and there’s a huge huge light in the hall that shines in your room so you can’t sleep they only would’ve had to bring there frame of the door down a few inches to block that light, they ought to fire their design engineers or hopefully they got them cheap, cheap cheap. once again profits over people! This is the first hospital that I’ve ever been in. That didn’t give me a brush and a toothbrush and toothpaste when I got here and I mean a hairbrush they don’t have them only combs and I have really curly tangling hair so guess what a comb doesn’t work chip chip chip chip cheap."
"I have very little experience with Hospitals so please bare in mind I don't have much to compare to. The hospital is a bit tricky to navigate till you get the hang of it. The signs for where things are located at vague and I with there were maps. If there are any I didn't see one. They have a Starbucks, pharmacy, and cafeteria. The Starbucks is really nice, nicer staff and better drinks that most of the stand alone ones I've been too. The cafeteria food was better than I expected for a hospital but nothing amazing. The pharmacy is nice enough but has really limited hours for being in a hospital. Makes zero sense. The nurse staff are mostly great. The day time staff specifically are great. They listen, are very helpful, and care. They are very busy as nurses tend to be so I appreciate how hard they work. The night staff are a lot less helpful. We had one that was fantastic, the not so much. The night nurse staff were a lot less communicative and polite. They don't have that same compassion that the day nurses do. The specialist are really great. Every specialist we worked with was very good at what they do and incredibly friendly and willing to explain everything to us. The doctors were mostly kind and polite but as with any place you hardly see them do anything. The nurses are the ones who really know what they are doing and work with patients. One last thing to note, getting a straight answer seems to depend on who you're talking to. Nurse or Doctor that never explain anything unless you ask, and even then they beat around the bush way too much. Maybe it's habit from dealing with some folk, but I don't appreciate the lack of communication on the part of them. Even saying "we don't know" is at least honest. Over all it's a hospital. I've only had brief visits at others so this will probably be the base line I compare other hospitals to going forward."
"I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews and complaints about this hospital lately and I cringed when we walked in, but let me tell you, they were flooded with patients in the ER yesterday and I mean flooded. I had to take my brother there and we had to stand in line behind about 18 people just to check in. They had all chairs occupied in the waiting area and down the hallway. But we had no choice….I had taken my brother to the doctor and they insisted we go there. So, we were stuck. However, that being said, I can’t thank the staff of the ER enough for their patience, kindness and efficiency, respect, in getting people checked in, vitals completed (many were completed right out in the waiting room before we even got in to see a doctor as they had no rooms). They were fantastic! I’ve worked in an ER a few years back in another state and I must say, I thought our team was good. This one was better. Thanks to all the staff, doctors, nurses, techs, and security (we had to walk through a metal detector…I really appreciated that in this day and age. I felt safe and I felt my brother was well-cared for. Hats off and thanks to them all. We don’t realize sometimes just how tough their jobs are."
