"I'm here to sing the praises of Riverside Guitar School! Three of our children are currently enrolled in music lessons: our seven-year-old daughter takes piano, and our six-year-old twin boys are enjoying guitar. In our first few weeks of lessons, a few things have really stood out. First, Dean, the owner, demonstrates great care and attention to detail. When we called to learn about options, he picked up the phone and discussed what would work best for our family. He followed up quickly with scheduling ideas, and thoughtfully responded to our questions and needs as we prepared for our first lesson. Second, our guitar and piano teacher, Micah, is calm, encouraging, positive and knowledgeable. He does a great job of breaking down complex ideas into kid-friendly language, and creates and atmosphere that is welcoming, fun, and focused. Third, the materials at Riverside Guitar are BEAUTIFUL! The guitars, the studio, the selected songs, and the curriculum and learning materials, all feel intentional and special. You can tell this business was a labor of love and deep thinking. Perhaps most importantly, Riverside Guitar has proven to be an inclusive environment. We have a child with special needs, and both Micah and Dean have made us feel welcomed and supported. "Riverside is a warm and friendly place for all ages! The teachers go above and beyond to help me succeed. I've been in a group lesson for about 4 months and was able to hop right into a group lesson while getting personalized attention as well. I appreciate how each class starts off with a "check in" which helped me feel like I was a part of the group. I'm thankful I was able to rent a guitar for my practicing at home because I wasn't quite ready to purchase my own.
