"My daughter went from being in a public schools to Walker charter And has been here what’s going on her 4th year! She has improved so much on her schooling since the switch. The school is great, well organized staff and great communication with parents! My daughter loves it here. Highly recommend."
"We love Walker Charter! Our daughter is in the Young 5s program and we really wanted her to be able to have an in-person school experience this year. The teachers and administrative staff/principal are amazing - so encouraging & supportive! They communicate well and have responded to my questions and concerns quickly. Despite a challenging year they have stayed positive and made things fun for the kids. I’m so thankful we made the decision to come here!"
"I am copying a previous review, as it hits the nail on the head: a year ago Academically, WCA and its teachers are exceptional; however, it has been my experience that students with any special needs - whether legally required or otherwise - are discouraged from remaining at WCA. Special needs parents - after almost two years at WCA, I realized that I'd rather have my child happy and learning in a less academically "successful" school than miserable and not learning at all in a school like WCA. After a medical dx, and multiple meetings and mishandling, I was told by tht principal that "Walker Charter is a traditional school", and then was encouraged to seek out opportunities with the public schools. This school is extremely underqualified to interact with any child with special needs/iep/ etc"
"Very good school with a very beneficial education program. My freshman year was easier thanks to WCA. All the teachers were so encouraging and supportive of whatever way I said I wanted to go with my life. If I could change 1 thing about the school, it would be the hot lunch program. The lunch is exceedingly disgusting and probably not safe to consume , but that's just my personal opinion. Other than that, this is a great school. Highly recommend"
"I have had 2 kids graduate from this school and have 3 more there now. We have been thrilled with the teaching staff, administration, and office staff. My bi-racial kids are loved and supported. My daughter with Autism has been given great support by her teachers and the deans. Is it perfect? No. But what school is? It has been perfect for my kids."
