National Coney Island

"I would leave a zero if I could. I’ve gotten carry outs from this location many times and every single time the order is messed up or something is missing. But after my latest experience I will never return. Part of my order contained a Hani with grilled chicken. First off the amount of chicken used is less and less every time. Todays sandwich contained an all time low of 1 and half of strips on one half and 2 strips in the other. After my first bite I noticed something was funky. I opened the sandwich for further inspection and noticed the chicken didn’t look cooked all the way through. There were discolored gooey portions that looked raw. It was disgusting. I’m not in the habit of leaving reviews but this food was uneatable. And for what they charge now this is unacceptable. There has to be some kind of standard. I give a 0 out of 10. I will never return. Which is a shame for me because because I’ve been a loyal customer my whole life and used to love the food. But no more. They failed. Do better!"

"A friend recommended trying Coney Island on my trip to Detroit. There was one down the street from my hotel so I decided to hit it up. My server Nyla recommended I try the chili so I did. I also added a Classic Coney Dog and a Grilled Chicken Hani. The entire meal cost me $16.08. Everything I ordered was delicious! I'm glad I can say I finally tried Coney Island."

"Very clean, great service. Comfortable booths and tables, nice large, airy dining area. Ordered big breakfast, 3 eggs, 2 each sausage and bacon, ham, hash browns and toast. Great polite service and friendly. Sour dough toast outstanding my husband's white was bakery white and outstanding also. Sausage, ham and eggs were fantastic! Only down side was Bacon was super thin and when dropped on plate shattered and the hash browns were cold and small. $8.99 for each breakfast and one coffee and one coke came to $24 and change. Would definitely go again."

"The ladies who take orders, specifically Parker & Lindsey are amazing. However the cook staff cannot seem to comprehend what well done means. I order there so often, Im greeted by name. My order is the same quite often. Ive had good well done hash browns. But as of late they seem to keep burning my food. Its not that difficult. Ive come to a point where i dont even want to give them my money anymore. Its getting to be ridiculous."
