"Had to wait for 20 mins to get the carry out. One person said brb, she was walking back and forth chatting with regular customers but no update for me. Food was not bad, quantity not that much."
"I was very excited to try Black Label. I'll start with the positive. 1. Waitress and manager provided great service and dealt with the negative issues which I'll describe below. 2. The menu contains many GF options which was lovely for one of the diners in my party. Now, on to the negative. 1. Our food took quite awhile to arrive with several tables which were seated well after us receiving their meals first. 2. We ordered the forest chicken, bourbon chicken and shrimp tacos. My forest chicken literally looked like red slop, had absolutely no flavor and was unable to be cut as it was so tough. I ordered onion rings as a side and these barely contain any onion and were also bland. My son's shrimp tacos and side of Mac and cheese had absolutely no flavor profile either? I rarely send food back, but when you can't cut into your meal, something has to be said. Both manager and waitress were attentive and the forest chicken was removed from bill. I tried the salmon which again lacked a flavor profile but was perfectly cooked. 3. Lastly, I know it's a Bar/restaurant, but the music was already fairly loud and as we ate in the dining area the volume increased to the point that conversation had to be screamed. I do appreciate the service and management trying to remedy the blah food, but it's a hard pass for a second visit."
"First time here, thought it was good. We went on a weekday around 4:30, so they weren't busy at all. We had a fantastic server & the place was very clean. The manager even came over at one point to check on us & tell us about their weekly specials, which I thought was nice. I had the Mushroom Mascarpone Pappardelle pasta w/ chicken for $23, which I thought was very good. I also had their espresso martini & their Sweet Gummy Martini (I think this was the name of it), which were both equally delicious........$12 & $10 each, though. Hubby's Long Island was only $8 & it was as equally delicious & made correctly. His burger, we felt, was a bit overpriced for what you got at $18 BUT he did get bacon, onions & cheese added which all had individual prices. Would we return? I would because I enjoyed it & I felt my meal was priced accordingly, my husband would not for he felt it was overpriced for what you got."
"This is a fairly new place that just opened so I wanted to try it. The food was pretty good! I had the LA chicken sandwich (chicken, bacon, swiss, avocado, garlic aoli and tomato) and Steak Frites. The restaurant had a very nice ambiance and I liked how the tables and bar area were set up. They had a long table that sits couples or groups down the middle of bar area. However, I did not like the service. I felt like our server was rushing us by bringing the bill while we were still eating (pet peeve). What if I wanted dessert or another drink? Did they ask...no. Maybe my rating would have been better if I had another server, but I just wasn't impressed by the way we were hardly acknowledged during our firsr experience."
"Visited the restaurant on their 2nd or 3rd day of being opened! There are definitely some kinks to be worked out, so I will not be harsh in my review! I loved the ambiance and the small changes made to the layout as I was a frequent patron of the previous vendor. We were seated immediately! I am not sure why we were offered a booth for 5-6 people and it was only 2 of us. We asked if we could sit at the tabletop. She allowed us to sit there! We were given food menus and water. But nothing was handed to us for alcoholic beverages, so we were puzzled. We have never heard of this restaurant, just excited to try the new restaurant in our old spot! So we started googling to see if they had a drink menu. Our waitress comes to the table to take our order. I asked if they could make a mojito, she said I guess. Then my friend stated we see beer tabs and liquor bottles so I am assuming you can make specialty drinks. She was like, sure did you not get a drink menu. She handed us one. She gave us a minute and we ordered a white gummy martini. It was delicious and a must order. As for the food, I asked our waitress what would she recommend. She was clueless! She was sweet and hospitable, but knew nothing about the menu and couldn’t recommend or sell me anything. I loved her personality, so I will give her A+. We had the Firecracker Shrimp, Shrimp Tacos and the Margherita Pizza. Both of the shrimp meals were great. However, the pizza cook needs more training. The flavor was good, but the middle was soggy and the entire pizza fell apart as you tried to get a slice. We at the ends like breadsticks. The female that delivered our food, needs more training on food delivery. When she delivered the food and as she sat the plate down of shrimp tacos and fries, majority of the fries fell on the table. She kind of froze up, not knowing what to say or do. She left and never came back or offered more fries. Our waitress passed by us and asked what happened, we told her and she cleaned up the spilled fries. On a side note, it appeared that everyone that was seated at the high top table, when food was being delivered it went to the wrong person more often than not. You had to watch for your food. Our food went to the wrong people and I had to speak up. Once the kinks are worked out this place will be a success! I will visit again in a few months!"
