Condado Tacos

"Another day, another new restaurant experience. Dropped a rider off next door and with no one to pick up and a growling belly, I decided to try Condado. I got in just after they opened. Quite the wide selection of tacos, and with the build-your-own option, you will definitely find something you'll like here. I ordered three, a Purple Haze, a Korean BBQ & an Orange-glazed (a seasonal offering). I started with the Korean. A bit cool, barely above room temperature, but quite tasty & a good bit of spicy kick to it balanced with the sweetness of the BBQ pork. The Purple Haze was almost cold, not just the cheese & veg but the meat, too. Flavor was good otherwise for this new option. The Orange-glazed was OK. Oddly, it was the warmest temperature of the three despite being last eaten. Unfortunately, the flavor combination just didn't do anything for me, it was just blah. The music was a odd comination of 70s pop & disco remakes. Retro is fine but disco sucked the first time and the covers do too. Volume was tolerable-ish. Chairs & stools are the bare metal kind I've seen in several other restaurants & breweries. They need a cushion if your going to sit for more than 15 minutes. They do serve beer, wine & cocktails, too. Lastly, despite being checked on repeatedly during my meal, I had to find my server to get my check. I guess they can't all be winners, though. I'll skip this place in the future, I make better tacos at home. And mine are above room temperature."

"Delicious Tacos! Tried a bunch of tacos and all of them were very good. Brisket might have been the best. Also tried the nachos, which were good. The place is interesting, a lot of art on the wall. If you are in that type of thing then you will enjoy it."

"We've been to Detroit's Midtown location a couple of times. We've never been to this location until last night. Everything was great but my son ordered the bowl(pictured: looks like a salad) and we were a little disappointed. They seemed to have skimped on the amount of meat, it was mostly rice and lettuce. Their tacos are always so full. Perhaps we assumed and should stick to the tacos only from now on. Still would recommend. The tacos are amazing."

"Short walk from Children’s Hospital. Location A plus. The ambience is beautiful and musical selections were on point. I sang and danced my seat the whole time. We sat at the bar, our bartenders were great. Brett especially stood out! He was very knowledgeable and made suggestions on drinks and food. Our orders came out pretty quick, Drinks and Food To Go as well. I loved my spicy tacos and I loved the Seasonal Pear Margarita as well. I always love a restaurant with a Troy location.
