Pine Rest Psychiatric Urgent Care Center

"I went to Pine Rest Urgent Care on a Sunday morning. I had been transitioning medicine and was having bad side effects. I was able to come up with a plan with the doctor and scheduled a follow up to make sure I was getting the help I needed. I felt taken care of and was seen fast!"

"When you exit hospitilization they are supposed to set you up in the transition clinic while you wait for a therapist and psych to take over your case. I saw the transition clinic a total of once in my waiting period of 4 months after being discharged from my second round of partial in 2 months. My therapist has cancelled on me twice in 2 weeks. I cannot contact my psych. The Urgent care staff just sells you on partial hospitilization, and you have to actively have a plan to harm yourself to stay in partial otherwise they'll listen to the insurance company on when to discharge you. Also, Healthy Living Group, a resource offered by Partial is completely online and failed to contact me saying my time in group had started and wanted me to wait an additional month on top of the previous 4 months I went without care to join a support group."

"I am so proud of myself for coming here on my own. For the most part, everyone there seemed glad I was getting the help I needed. I came specifically for outpatient services. They were able to help with adding new medications as well as with setting me up with a therapist. Everyone I interacted with was very kind and understanding. While it did take several hours from start to finish, they provided snacks, water and coffee. The facility was clean and had a nice atmosphere for what it was. I really felt like I got the attention and help I needed."

Employees don’t know what they’re doing. A huge change in behavior as soon as they realized I had state insurance after calling and being treated poorly first thing in the morning after my State insurance was barely talked about."

"I have held a strong hatred for Pine Rest for many years due to my experiences there as a teen. However they do offer the most accessible mental health treatments in the west Michigan area by far, & they make it very convenient & usually quite quick to get help. So this afternoon I decided I would try their urgent care clinic, & to my surprise, it was actually a decent trip. The nurses & Nurse practitioner treated me with respect & dignity. It’s a nice place if you need quick help, and I would return again."
