"First and foremost I came to this place a number of times and I enjoyed their food and this is why I give it a 3star. I would give it a five however, my issue with this place is the people that work here are extremely comfortable working here. not sure if it’s family or what not However, the issue and great concern is the level of cleanliness of this establishment very small place yet attention to detail is not there! May be a workshop or class on cross-contamination within cleanliness is idea even a lil 101 ….Yes they do wear clear gloves, but it is clear they are not wearing them for the reason they are meant for in a restaurant. I literally watched the chef a number of times skinny dude curly hair very comfortable back there rub his nose with his gloves on, full fledge scratch his arm pit and then pick up someone’s hotdog bun and continue cooking on the stove, (imagine what you don’t see! Yuck!!) in the back later where we had parked he was messing with the barbecue…. GLOVES STILL ON! so for me, it was kind of like a picture is worth 1 million words, he had no clue the level of disgust. He was showing me and hopefully the rest of the patriots that were sitting there. Also, the cashier had her gloves on. She took the money put it in her cash register. I told her that she can keep the change and she just stuffed in her jar and went in the back and moved on. No thank you no nothing, notta! It was almost a sense of entitlement and to me it was all foolishness particularly tipping is not a must it’s kindness and she had none (as far as customer service) she was wearing her gloves as well. Went back there started doing whatever she was doing. Came back out hands all over my bag etc etc etc…….unfortunately, with that being said, I will no longer go to this establishment unfortunately after making this review, I hope that they address the situation because they have a good thing going !!"
"Oct 2023 - first time; had Aljoom BBQ burger; its just a small take out joint, but if you like BBQ burgers, you definitely need to stop in and get one of these. I have higher quality standards than most, and have a particular knack for judging good burgers, so you can trust me when I say, this burger was excellent! It was good size, juicy, and the toppings were quality. I'm looking forward to trying more of their burgers and other sandwiches. The guys running the store were very helpful advising and assisting with my ordering as well being a new customer. Try it, you won't regret it!"
"First time stopping in and not the last. Detroit loaded fries are a must! Wow!! Burgers were outstanding too. Even with all the layers of goodness, the burger could be cut in half and it all stayed together. Every layer on the burger and the loaded fries were carefully perfected to be able to stand alone, but all together it was so flavorful and hit all senses. The chef and woman who took our order had a very calm and friendly attitude. I will be back to try the BBQ"
"Finally a good halal brisket place in michigan. For reference I ordered the brisket dinner (tip: order it chunky, point only, no flat). The total (as of Aug 2023) was $27.55. It comes with brisket, one side of bbq sauce, Mac and cheese, Cole slaw, and corn bread. Part of me expected to be disappointed as I'm used to competition level brisket in Texas and I've been disappointed by the halal bbq in Dearborn before. This place though got it right. The brisket was phenomenal, the Cole slaw was excellent, and the corn bread was perfect. The mac and cheese isn't exactly my style but it was still great. Only real complaint is that for the amount of food they should give two sauces by default. Honestly the price is steep but you're definitely paying for quality. It's enough for one person if they're really hungry, but I can see two people reasonably sharing it especially if you got a dessert on the side to split too. 10/10 though, would absolutely recommend. Note: I believe the bbq is only available Fri-Sun but better to call beforehand and double check."
