"I visited the Kaku Sushi Bowl location in Birmingham and was sorely disappointed. The food was subpar, lacking freshness and flavor, yet the prices were exorbitant. Hoping for a better experience, I tried the Bloomfield location, only to find the same dismal quality and atmosphere. It's disheartening that every additional topping incurs an extra charge, even for basic items like crispy onions. Save your money and time; head to Pokeworks for a better deal and superior taste. The staff at both Kaku locations seemed indifferent and unwelcoming. Overall, a regrettable dining experience - ownership, please get out of the restaurant business."

"Y’all don’t even understand how much I love this place. I live out of town, but every time I come home I try to get the spicy tuna poke bowl from here because i love and crave it that much. I don’t like poke from anywhere else but here."
"When I say unreal slow, I mean it should be criminal the speed they prepare your food. 40 minutes for carry out I ordered 15 minutes before entering the location. There was literally one customer in front of me. I had sat in the parking lot for 10 minutes before going in and the only person to go in or out was the one customer in front of me. Food was pretty good but at what price? An hour wasted just to get it when its all just sitting there in bins like a Chipotle, or subway type set up? Disgraceful."
"The gentleman who made my bowl was extremely nice and polite. It's an expensive place, but the quality is there and it's worth paying $25+ for a meal, it's just so good! I love the crab salad and there are a million additions like fried garlic and all sorts of different sauces, highly highly recommend!"
