Reviews of Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Lounge
"Honestly this was the worst service I've experienced in a long time. I see why they add gratuity in the bill. Our Fried sushi roll came out before my drink did, our server got my order wrong and it was a whole thing to fix it with the chef, & once the chef came out we didn't see our server again. Then It literally took like 10 minutes to even cash out. I would recommend carry out only. Seriously not coming back here again. I was extremely disappointed. Specifically the server Leon, he seemed like he was there as a punishment or something he really did not even try and could really care less"
"The chefs, food, and experience have gone down hill. If you’re lucky to get the one trained hibachi chef you’ll most likely have a good experience. Also if you plan on having an adult beverage, then I would think again. The liquor is not what you order and you will be let down. The price of admission is not worth your time. The place smells like a dirty fish tank that is extremely past due for a deep cleaning when you walk in. However the yum yum sauce and ginger salad dressing are tasty. My advice to Wasabi is to invest in your restaurant and people will come back."
"First time here Asked for an accommodation of non rice sushi. Chef had never done it before however it was accomplished Appreciate the effort our server was warm and welcoming Very patient with good listening skills To our accommodation requests - 2 people in our party of 3 have seafood allergies As I was not very hungry. I had miso soup House salad and non rice California roll Suggestion - need additional lighting in the parking lot - we were not sure if the restaurant was open until we saw the cars"
"The food and service were great. It was a weekday night, so it was not very busy. The prices are middle of the road for a sushi place. I recommend the Red Dragon Roll, it had slight spice and great flavor. The reason for 4 stars was the atmosphere was a little on the drab side. It felt a bit musty and the floors were a bit sticky and the bathroom was not very clean. We did not do the hibachi style, but sat at the bar and enjoyed our food."
"We've been coming to his wonderful Hibachi location for years before they opened their second location in Livonia (Sapporo - equally great definitely check them out!). We recently had chance to dine here again after a long day at a local convention and I'm happy to report the service and quality has not faltered! They don't force you to have a 'full table' before starting service like bigger chains do. The prices are more reasonable and the flavor and quality of food are wonderful. The chefs are always a fun interactive dining experience. Definitely recommend when you're celebrating a special event for a great night! Also word of the wise for Hibachi Virgins: you don't want to get hibachi *before* heading off to another big event, hibachi is the event but also - being so close to the grill while your food is being cooked means your hair and clothes might smell like smoke and deliciously prepared food the rest of the night!"
