"Encuentro Latino has excellent food at a great price! We started with the hot corn drink, which I highly recommend on a winter day in Michigan, it's almost like a meal by itself. We also shared a plate of fried plantains and for the entree I got the chapin combo, which includes a papusa, churrasquito, and garnacha of your choice."

"Guatemalan goodness is served here. If you want a good variety try the Chapin dish with 1 of each. Empanadas are super flaky with a philo dough texture. The space was a former diner with booths, super small but cute. Very friendly staff. No liquor licence but they have excellent, non-alcoholic bebidas. Enjoy"

"The fish was superb - fresh and delicious, crispy outside, soft and juicy inside. Our waitress, Jocie, was cheerful, friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back! Update: we came back again two weeks later to try some more dishes. They were all great - I particularly liked the chile rellenos, while my wife loved the chicken stew! Update 04/25/2022: We came back again today and tried the fish and chile rellenos again today. Both were divine as always."
