"We use the White Lake location for our HH carry out. I happened to be on this side of town and used this location. Nicely decorated but the food is subpar to the other location in White Lake. I got my food home and the breadsticks were old and burnt, and the lettuce in the salad was old and wilted. Very disappointed with my experience here. I unfortunately will never use this location again. Our food at the White Lake location is always fresh and really good. Best breadsticks around!"
"It's mostly a takeout spot but they do have a few tables available to sit down and eat your food which is a plus. Service was super friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. You can never go wrong with some Highland house breadsticks and cheese dip. The sandwiches are some of the best around in my opinion. We waited about 15 minutes for our food from the time we ordered so that was a big plus. Lots of parking available as it's in a shopping complex. Great time and will definitely be back."
"If you're in the mood for a cozy and family-friendly dining spot, look no further than Highland House Cafe in Clarkston, MI. Although it may be small, this little gem offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that is perfect for a relaxed meal with loved ones. During my recent visit, I discovered some true culinary delights, and I couldn't wait to share my positive experience with others. First and foremost, the food at Highland House Cafe left a lasting impression on me. The breadsticks were out of this world, perfectly baked to a golden crisp and served with an incredibly flavorful cheese dip. The combination was pure bliss for my taste buds! And when it came to the pizza, I was equally impressed. The crust was thin and crispy, the toppings were fresh and generous, and the overall flavor was simply outstanding. While the prices at Highland House Cafe may lean towards the higher side, the quality and taste of the food make it worth every penny. During my visit, I enjoyed two pieces of delectable pizza, a bag of breadsticks, and the tantalizing cheese dip, all for a total of $20. Although it may seem a little steep, the portion sizes and the mouthwatering flavors more than made up for it. One aspect that sets Highland House Cafe apart from other establishments is the ample parking available. There's nothing worse than struggling to find a parking spot, but that was not the case here. I appreciated the convenience of having a stress-free parking experience, which added to the overall positive impression of the place. Lastly, I must commend the friendly and attentive staff at Highland House Cafe. Their warm hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to my dining experience. From the moment I walked through the door until the time I left, the staff made me feel welcome and ensured that all my needs were met. In conclusion, Highland House Cafe in Clarkston, MI, is a true hidden gem for families seeking a delightful dining experience. Despite its small size, the inviting atmosphere, exceptional food, and hassle-free parking make it a top choice. While the prices may be slightly higher, the quality and taste of the dishes are undoubtedly worth it. Treat yourself and your loved ones to the mouthwatering breadsticks, cheese dip, and pizza—I promise you won't be disappointed!"
"One of the lousiest pizza's I've had in a long time. And no apologies from the management either. Talk about an attitude problem. I guess places now have to hire whomever they can even if it means they will lose long time customers because we will not be back. I'm not wasting any more money on food that is inedible and for which the same can be expected in the future!"
"Can't recommend this place anymore. My wife and I are usually underwhelmed by the quality of the pizza but gave them a final chance tonight because they have amazing breadsticks. Unfortunately the pizza was pretty abysmal, my wife barely ate a slice. Under sauced, topped haphazardly/inconsistenly and one of the pizzas was missing a topping. Bummer. The insult to injury were the breadsticks, well short of the usual size of a full order, in a new foil bag, with barely any seasoning on them, they were bland, stale and awful. What does seem consistent, is the staff all seem to be high school aged kids. This isn't that big a deal but there never seems to be an older manager/supervisor around. When I was working in high school, customer service and quality workmanship weren't exactly at the top of my list of priorities. Perhaps some adult oversight and quality control could avoid experiences like the kinds I've had here recently. 2 stars for my experiences, overall the most accurate rating for this establishment is 3 stars (google reviewers tend to only rate things ones or fives unrealistically). Not an awful place, but certainly not the best pizza joint in the region by a longshot. Just average. We're going to stick with Hometown Pizza, and occasionally Locri from now on."
