"They have a really great "Head Start Program". My son has a early birthday so his been going there since 3yrs and he is 5 now. I highly recommend any parents with children 3-5yrs old to look into it and get information. Great teachers,great program. They have a morning or afternoon class. Instead of my son going into his first year of actually school, not knowing anything and being afraid and scared of leaving there parents. They already have an understanding of what it's going to be and it'll be such an easier transition for your child to start kindergarten without any prior programs or education training....... I Highly recommend starting your child when they are 3yrs or 4yrs depending upon there birthday so they have 2yrs in the program . This has been my sons 2nd year of "Head Start", his teachers and speech therapist that he sees once a week he's going to be have recommended him to hold off one more year and go into a program to help him get more prepared and refrain some of the areas he is still having trouble with... So he would be 6yrs old (instead of 5yrs old like usual) when he starts kindergarten. I did some information searching about what age or time is best to start Traditional School for your child. One of my sisters is also teacher and she teaches in a private school in Grosse Pointe Farms. She told me that that's the new trend right now with parents holding your child back till there 6 years old to start Traditional School. And that it has nothing to do about their child having areas of concern that they still need to refine, they just want their child to mature one more year before starting them. I really hope that my review gives you some answers you might have been looking for and/or makes you feel better about enrolling your child into a Head Start program."
