"The food here is very good. The fish and chips are probably the best in the area. I enjoyed the cottage pie and a bowl of the Guinness and cheese soup. The mixed drinks are made of bar made syrups and mixers which are very good."

"Its been a few years but we stopped today after a holiday visit in Florida. My wife had never been there but heard me talk about and I wanted her to see it. Food was great as well as the service. If street parking is full there are lots to the east and west. I belive you can still come in through the back door."

"Great location in downtown Holly! Great food and great service. A little loud at night, but you forget about that once you get your food. My Guinness & Cheddar Soup and Fish & Chips were both fantastic. My wife wasn't the biggest fan of the Cottage Pie."

"The Blackthorn Pub was a great surprise! It was amazing! Tressa and I are still talking about it. We asked our server questions about the food and the restaurant. Everything is made in-house, like the salad dressing they use on the salad. Tarter sauce is made in-house. The tarter is also. If you stop in, you will not be disappointed!"

"Nice pub in downtown Holly. We started with the stuffed mushrooms since they are a little more unique than frickles. They were really good but a very small portion as you only get 5. The salad was really good. Nice spring mix of lettuce. I opted for the breakfast burger. I attempted to pick it up to eat like a normal person but ended up using a knife and fork because I didn't want to run out of napkins. It was really good. The burger was cooked nicely and the egg hit the spot. My wife had the fish and Chips. The fish was really good, flakey on the inside and crispy on the outside. We both thought the fries were over salted. Not sure if it was just that day. The waitress did drop off malted vinegar which is always a good sign."
