"The worst school I have ever had to encounter. The Teachers do not communicate with you and there ability to handle special needs children is not available at this school. I had two kids at this school and the experience for both of them was horrible. Please do your research before attending. I wish I would have dug a little deeper"

"I am the parent of 2 grandriver academy students. 1 of whom just excelled to high school. I have my pros and cons about the school but my biggest is the lack of consideration for parents concerns/views on things. I was highly disappointed that the staff chose to end the school year specifically for 8th graders from a K-8th grade school and not take the time to acknowledge them for individual and /or team accomplishments. Most students have been in person with about 20-25 students per class and we still were presented with a drive-by ceremony. I voiced my opinion, was met with administrations decision is final and moved on. But to go through the event and no acknowledgments, recognition, awards that come with perseverance, academics, etc.... Covid aside this should not have been denied the students or parents. I observed zoom presentations, slides shows sent to families, live feeds where staff presented awards at other schools but Grandriver denied there 8th graders this right saying it was unfair to online students who could easily be included. So if Grandriver academy continues to offer online classes will this be the new norm for all students not receiving recognition for there hard work? I felt cheated for us both and like many other 8th graders my child did not even want to go to the drive by. She was offered nothing to look forward to. Very disappointed."

"I've been going here since 2014 and a lot of people think this school is good by the outside looks, but on the inside i'm not going to tell all the details of what happened because I can get in trouble, before you put your child into this school, contact a student that goes to Grand River Academy, before you put your child into here. This school has a pretty good education system, but this school is not intended for everyone, there are a lot of fights here that happen. I am not gon state what else happens at this school, for safety reasons."

"I’ve been here since third grade and elementary school was amazing- but I can’t say the same for middle school so far. The rules are pretty unfair. I find it very annoying that we only have 2-3 minutes to transition from class to class. A bunch of students are late now due to teachers dismissing late or hallways being way to crowded. Most teachers and even deans expect us to be completely quiet when they barely let us talk. I mean, we have lunch in our classrooms and even then we are barley allowed to talk or sit next to friends!"

"The school was a good school when the former principal Mr. Harper was there but since he left the school has definitely took a 360 for the worst. They have the worst dean Mrs. Dean Johnson she has a nasty attitude, very rude and unprofessional. A lot of teachers has left and the new ones are leaving too."
