"My son has been going to this school for almost 2 years. I love that there is a tuition-free language. "immersion" school available to us... However, in my experience, the children are not really immersed in the language and don't learn as much of the language as I feel they should and they do not learn it as quickly as they qould with true immersion. My son basically spent the whole of kindergarten tracing letters in spanish class instead of learning an actual vocabulary. I also feel this school has a huge issue communicating with parents. My son has dietary restrictions and this info was given when he started attending, yet on several occasions he has come home and told me that he had something , unbeknowst to him, that he wasn't meant to have. They also tend to announce wvents at the last minute. The only reasons he is still at this school is because there are teachers who are native speakers of Spanish (and Chinese) and he is being exposed to the language and he has some protests about leaving his friends, but in all likelihood, he will no longer be attending after this school year. This school has the potential to be great, but it doesn't appear that many staff members are trying to help it reach it's potential. It definitely needs a lot of improvement. Side note the bathroom stalls don't even lock!"
