Reviews of Creative Montessori Academy
"I graduated from this school three years ago, and when I went there I never felt ashamed to be myself or scared that someone would judge me. Everyone was always so kind, I felt at home. Rather then waiting for the day to be over I never wanted to leave. I have extreme social anxiety, and just regular anxiety, and sometimes I would just start having an anxiety attack for no reason, and instead of telling me to go into the hallway and that I was a distraction like my current school does, they would help calm me down and they would call my parents, they would make sure I was okay. I always felt safe there. So yes I would recommend this school to you it is an amazing school."
"Worst school my son has ever been to. Your student will be with 3 grades at one time. More bullying happens here. Yet at the beginning of the year they said they do not tolerate those things here. My son got threatened to be killed and stabbed with pencils. Student returned to class next day. Then student remained in his seat yet my student had to sit at a single desk as though he was the one to be punished. Teacher pulled him out of class and told him because your so sensitive its your fault why you dont have friends. Neither the secretary teacher or principal seem to care how serious it was even rude. I think they were more annoyed with their lunch being interupted. Implied my son was lying. I watched my student get A's and B's to failing. Missing assignments were turned in not accounted for, as well as a huge 100 point project ( how do u miss a big cardboard project). Also no hot lunches at all! I would never ever recommend this school. If zero was a rating i would give them that. I had to remove my son early before the school year ended. Also when my son would ask for help Teacher would say come on you know this. Instead of giving him extra help. I honestly think this being her first year she should find another field."
"My child attended the 2018/19 school year. The teacher seemed awful it was her first year as a teacher and it seems as though she picked the wrong career path. She seemed stressed out with the kids and made inappropriate comments throughout the year saying thing like "you guys are the worst class in the entire school" and seemed to be down on the kids regularly. We also received his grade and found that our son had a failing grade. When we asked our son he said he was turning in his homework so we asked the teacher and come to find out that he actually was turning it in and it was lost and in shuffle. She said she had found a bunch of his work and his grade would have to be re-evaluated. Wow! That immediately makes me wonder how long has this been happening and how extensive is this issue and how many other kids has this happened to. We discovered that the kids turn their work in by throwing it onto bins. That doesn't seemed organized and maybe that's why things get lost. My kid has also been bullied throughout the school year and they didn't seemed very concerned about addressing the issue and often turned it around to blame my son. We actually pulled him out four days early from the end of the school year because a kid threatened to kill my son and actually had 3 pencils in his hand raised up as if to stab him with. The attitude of the principal and teacher seemed to be very blase' and they didn't seemed too terribly concerned about it. They also said they reprimanded the other student but he was at school the very next day and it didn't seem like did anything at all. Thankfully we are done with that school as he won't be attending next year and will be in a different district. I cannot recommend that school to anyone it may just may be the teacher he had. I often wonder if he would have had a better experience with someone different but the with the bullying the school itself didn't seem to concerned. Either way I would avoid taking you kid there if you could help it."
"I volunteer in this school daily, I love this school. Teachers are great. If you are an involved parent you will love this school, teacher encourage parents to be a part of their child's education with open communication daily. If you feel your child is perfect and do not believe your child should be held accountable for their actions. You will hate this school. This school is unlike most public schools. This is not a K-8 "daycare" it is a school that believes in teaching not only academics but character building too. Every student is given an individualized lesson plan teaching the child at his or her level, constantly challenging the child, my son is never bore. He love his class and friends."
"This school is horrible! If I could give it a zero I would! My child has been bullied by the same classmate the entire school year. It has been reported to me by teachers on several different occasions of things this classmate did to my child and I have personally spoke with the headmaster only to get non helpful smart remarks from him. The teachers never wrote any of the accidents up to prove this child has a problem keeping there hands to themselves! My child lead teacher seems to be annoyed, say smart remarks and have a attitude of the situation like I wanted my child to be hit or pushed! This was enough for me to look for a different school! They do not follow there own policy on writing accidents reports when accidents happen. I was warned about this school from three friends of mines prior to enrolling my children and I didn’t listen. They told me of how they don’t treat african America children fairly educational wise and tend to be racist. I’m starting to see this for myself. This school is horrible please listen to the reviews of the parents complaints and do not send your child here!"
