"I asked up front if the gravy and biscuits were homemade. They said it was and it was NOT. Way too much pepper as I left with my mouth burning. As my daughter and I were sitting at the table, a large family came in and was waiting by the door for a table. It was rainy, snowy wet and cold outside. They had children with them. I heard a woman yell from the back to tell the waitress to tell them they had to step outside and wait. They very well could have accommodated the family. Yes, the waitress had to clean the table but it was better than being forced to stand outside. It was rude. I DO NOT recommend this diner. I am one of those people that if I have a bad experience the first time, there will not be a second time. I hope they get better at their customer service skills."

"My friend and I took a road trip on Tuesday, Dec 12th, from Holland down to the Benton Harbor area, so we decided to give Dave's a try based on their reviews. We were anything but disappointed! The food was great, our server Nikki was awesome, and the prices were very competitive. Nikki was handling the dining room all by herself. She kept up just fine. She was fun, funny, and really made our visit enjoyable. Next time I'm in South Haven I will definitely go back!"

"Friendly staff. Clean. Waitresses checked on us often. There is even Sloppy Joes on the menu. Could use a few more menu items, maybe even some desserts. Price isn't too bad."
