Reviews of Howard Young Medical Center
"Excellent! We were very pleased with how kind and helpful the staff was with my father. He also loved the food! Beautiful clean hospital. This was such a pleasant place to be after having a disappointing experience at previous hospitals."
"I wanted to give no stars but I couldn't. I would rather die than go to h y m c emergency department. They do not treat certain people like humans. I had two broken bones. The staff was rude and condescending. They treat people from different zip codes differently. I left in severe pain with the crushed Alma and a fractured thumb. I did not know that until I went to Marshfield clinic 4 days later because I had no relief from these people. They told me to come back in three to four weeks and see my orthopedic doctor. Did not tell me I had a crush on that and did not tell me I had a broken bone. Like I said I would rather die than go here again. They make you feel like you're not important and not a human. There are many people who feel this way about them. Marshfield clinic ER helped me immediately. I was out of there in a timely fashion with complete explanation of what was wrong."
"I have been a patient at the pain clinic for 15 years. The staff is so enjoyable, professional yet warm and friendly. The cooled RFA is the only thing keeping me out of a wheelchair and I really appreciate that I can get an effective treatment and be able to walk! I don't know what I would do without all of the wonderful staff!"
"We were 6 hours from home and had an automobile accident. This hospital and staff were absolutely amazing. They took the best care of my best friend and I. The nurses, doctors and techs were all very compassionate and informative. We were seen and recieved our scans and tests right away. Released in a couple hours. Highly recommend this facility."
"I have been going to hospitals, many times in the past as I suffer from chronic lower spine problems. recently over the last few years I have been going to the pain clinic here at howard young. I have found the nurses who work in that area of the clinic to all be superb giving excellent care, follow up, and even in the procedure room all were very outstanding. The doctor, P. Conrardy, who was always the acting doctor who administed treatments, epiurals, and other care, was exceptional Besides giving the treatments , shots etc. he always would take time prior to such treatment to explain what would take place during them, and while administering such would show care, competence in his ability to do them taking the time to do thoroughly and not in a rush to get me gone as soon as possible. Afterwards he would come into the recovery room, check on me, give me instructions and show me that he really did care about my procedure and health. I will continue to always use, as well as recommend, (which I have) to others on this treatment and care given by the pain clinic as well as by Dr. Canrady."
