About Us

Cafe de Miro is a unique Kurdish cuisine restaurant located at 435 Ionia Avenue Southwest in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our unorthodox twist on casual eating and breakfast will surely allure you. We are excited to announce the opening of our second location inside the downtown market by December 6th.
One of our recommended dishes is the Aegean flavor, where scrambled eggs are blended with tomatoes, green peppers, and wonderful spices. For those with a sweet tooth, we suggest trying our crispy waffle topped with maple syrup and whipped cream alongside your morning coffee.
If you prefer a light vegan meal, the harmony of hummus and falafels is a great choice. Our Mediterranean classic super green falafels are served on a rice and salad bowl with toppings and hummus. Whether you're enjoying a fun meeting with friends or relaxing alone, we can bring our delicious food to you for a pleasant meal.
If you prefer to dine in, our friendly staff is waiting to serve you at our nearest location. Come and experience the delicious flavors of Cafe de Miro for yourself.

"This is the first time I'm leaving a review and here is why. My daughter's baby shower at Downtown Market was catered by Cafe de Miro and it was very disappointing. I was extremely embarrassed to present the food to my guests. The chicken kabob was burnt and dry. The spanakopitas was not cooked all the way and instead of crispy it was mushy and burnt. we ordered the saute green beans and we got bean stew which wasn't bad but was not what I had asked for and had confirmed with the owner. In all it did not seem to have been prepared by professional. The food was much better at tasting session and absolutely not the same at the party. the owners are very nice but not professional. They might be best not to cater and stick to the restaurant serving. There was a charge for a server to be present during the lunch however I had to run to the restaurant multiple times for items missing. Unfortunately Downtown Market gives limited choices for Catering."
"I have been to the downtown market dozens of times but today was my very first time trying Cafe de Miro and OH MY GOSH…this food is incredible! I grabbed the fettuccine Alfredo and added their delicious herb chicken. My partner tried their grilled cheese panin with smoked turkey. The men that work there were so sweet and told me I made the best choice and they were right! This is my new favorite fettuccine Alfredo! They even gave me some pistachio baklava!"
"4th time coming here. Athens gyro bowl is delicious. Service is great. I would show a picture but I eat them too fast because they are so good."
"can’t recommend enough!! I love their Breton village location and was so excited to see that they had Döner at this location! The Berlin Doner here was the closest I’ve had to a German döner stand in the states and came with a great salad. The Açaí bowl is also amazing."
