"After eating here yesterday I got to my car and immediately looked up the reviews on this place to see if anyone else had the same opinions and issues I had and it turns out I'm not alone. One reviewer nailed it with saying that the waitress acted like I was an inconvenience to her. Since the sign said Seat Yourself I picked the four top by the window, when she finally noticed me and asked if i waiting for others I told her no and she just stood there and stared at me. So I finally said just a water and a menu, and she walked away. After seven minutes I finally got up and got my own menu. Three minutes later she walked over with a menu and a water, stared at me again, I chuckled and said I'm ready to order and this also seemed to be an inconvenience to her. Checked my watch again after i ordered because I had another appointment coming up. BTW, only five other tables with two people at each in the restaurant and they all seemed to have their food. After 20 minutes of watching her talking to all her friends at the different tables she finally went to get my food, a pancake and side of sausage, it was cold. Since I wasn't getting my check I finally stood up to get her attention so I could pay and go and still had to wait another 5 minutes. Also, the pancake was doughy and almost raw in the middle and not only was the sausage cold but also hard as can be. $ 15 and an hour and a half of my life I'll never back."

"Brenna was our waitress on this out-of-town family visit, and she was fantastic! Our food was so delicious and so gorgeous!!! Hubby ordered the homemade biscuits and gravy that comes with a couple eggs. I ordered the Irish Eggs Benedict; with the tender corned beef, freshly wilted spinach, etc. They had sourdough as an option for toast, which my gut always appreciates! Highly recommend!! "We came here on a Saturday morning. The wait was quite long but not a problem for us at all. The service was okay,depends on your waitress, hit and miss. Food quality and taste is consistent and as expected ( i haven’t found any great restaurant in GR). For Grand Rapids, this is a pretty good restaurant for breakfast."
