"First, I've always liked the Royal. However, I think they've lost their focus. Keeping in mind this restaurant is Member owned and is there for the members. My last visit on Friday night rubbed me the wrong way. I ordered the special, fish, fries and coleslaw. My wife got Parm crusted Cod which comes with veggies and choice of potatoes. She opted to forgo the potatoes for dble veggies unknown to us it's a $2 up charge. My coleslaw came in a 2 ounce condiment container which is a $2 upcharge as an added side. 2 ounce of coleslaw is a tablespoon! I don't understand how you advertise salad with your meal when it's only a single spoonful? Obviously the place must be on the verge of going under if this is where they cut costs? Very disappointed!"

"This place has got food at the same quality of antlers grill but half the price. The service is always excellent and the food is consistently great. I'm surprised this place isn't busier. We are from the Kalamazoo area where we were used to having many good restaurants and up here we've had a difficult time finding any quality restaurants at all. This place is now in my top five!"

"We had a lovely experience at The Royal recently. Our server was wonderful, the ambiance was lively on a Friday night evening and the food was tasty! I recommend the wings with the spicy soy honey sauce on the side and the walleye! My grandma enjoyed her Prime Rib and crab Rangoon nachos as well! Make sure you get the boomba of beer to wash it all down!"

"Overall good experience food was decent decent portion sizes service was good we were able to get sat right away and we went on a Saturday morning for lunch. We ordered the shrimp and then fish tacos. Both were tasty. I'd say really the only downfall would be a somewhat limited menu."
