Journey Academy is a primary school located at 6025 Ada Drive Southeast in Ada, Michigan, United States. We believe that traditional schooling can be boring, which is why we have re-imagined education to meet the needs of each individual learner and the demands of the 21st century.

Our goal is to equip heroes to discover their unique calling and thrive in a rapidly changing world. From our Montessori-based Kindergarten to upper studio apprenticeships, we are revolutionizing what education can look like in the 21st century.

At Journey, we blend the best of the old and the new – combining the community feel of a one-room schoolhouse with modern technology and organizational design. Our learners engage in hands-on projects and utilize world-class technology to develop real-life skills at their own pace.

We believe that young people are capable of achieving much more than traditional schools often expect of them. By empowering learners to set and achieve personal learning goals, they take ownership of their education, challenge themselves, and cultivate internal drive.

Our students have the freedom to learn at their own pace, allowing them to excel in their strengths and thoroughly understand areas where they need more time. They demonstrate their mastery through earning badges, creating portfolios, and presenting their work in public exhibitions.
