"Could not recommend enough. A friend referred me here after I had a horrible experience at a different shelter. It was so refreshing to have a process to follow and transparency about the dog I was interested in adopting. Most shelters give you one picture and let you meet the dog once. At Makenzie's, we met the dog, were given a complete health briefing, got to spend one-on-one time with the dog, then walked him. After the initial visit, we got to come back a second time. The facility is out in the boonies, but it is run very well."

"Over 20 yrs ago we lost our 3 choc labs(mom & 2 sons) the owner of Mackenzie's found them by his work and took them to their rescue. They were just opening and our dogs were the first ones. They were wonderful to Maude, Dakota and Boomer! We were able to get our dogs back because of Mackenzie's and to this day I think about that and how wonderful they were to our dogs! I strongly recommend McKenzie's! They love animals and are so genuine and caring."
