"This school is just frankly unqualified to deal with mental health issues. They make it worse. They’re insensitive to everything. Teachers are only in it for the paycheck and it’s so obvious why all the good ones left. When having suicidal thoughts and tendencies in school, my teachers flat out encouraged it. Please don’t send your kids to this school. There’s better options in the area. Even a public school is better equipped. Charter schools have been proven to be a fraudulent business and this one is no different. Trust me once the IRS gets involved this school will be shut without a trace."

"I did not nessesarily have a bad experience at Vanguard for five years. However, my second grade teacher was a barely qualifying football jock that I had learned absolutely nothing from. Oh, and if you have some sort of disability, for me its ADHD, you would get bullied quite frequently. In my first year there, which was indeed second grade, I was bullied day after day and it would occasionally bring me to tears, however i was a preety thick skinned child, so it wasnt really bad to me at the time. I remember in my last year there, sixth grade, i had an autistic classmate who had also rough time in school due to bullying. Anyways other than that, the staff were for the most part kind and the teachers, well, most of them, taught preety well, even with sever attention problems ended sixth grade with something like a 3.5 gpa Bullying is just a concern"

"I suggest not sending your kid here if they aren't the popular type, unless you're okay with them being bullied. Also this school (like most) acts like they want to stop bullying by placing the "be nice" sticker everywhere, but they could care less. Also half of the teachers here (from when I went there) were only in it for a paycheck and that huuuuuge summer break they get. I understand that not all schools are perfect, but if you want to put your kid in a new school, I highly suggest picking a different place."

"We transferred here about 4 years ago and it was a great transition. My boys now, a 10th grader and 7th grader, were welcomed in right away by staff and students. Their experience at Vanguard has been a great one. They have built some long lasting relationships, the school work pushes them to be better and the morals of the school have helped them build character."

"Vanguard has been a great school for my three kids. I really feel like each one of my children has needed a different approach to learning and this school excels in meeting the different needs. Vanguard does a nice job of challenging the students but makes sure that they are all supported so they can succeed. Teachers and staff have been awesome and gone above and beyond for my children. So happy we are part of this school."
