"Went because hotel offered a coupon on 2 for 1 breakfast, immediately regretted it. Server was friendly and chatty while seating us and gave us a few mins to look over the menu, brought out my coffee (which was terrible btw). The moment she saw my coupon her face dropped and all interactions with her after were short and borderline rude. She was chatty and laughing with other tables so I know it wasn't just her way. Had the traditional breakfast, very small sizes but fine. Server never checked on us once and just dropped our food and ran, never got coffee checked on or anything. Waited 20 mins for her to realize we had finished and needed our bill. Just took the coupon and came back about 10 mins later, no conversation. Lesson learned, never go to places advertised in the hotels. We went to another place to grab actual good coffee, to a bakery and coffee spot that serves breakfast sandwiches near the water. Would definitely recommend there."

"Wait to be seated and there’s no one to seat you we did seat ourselves then 30 min waiting to get the food no sugar on the table also one of the orders we ordered sausages we got bacon. I would say it’s alright to eat there if you really hungry but not my choice."

"We received a coupon from our hotel. But even without the coupon the prices are the same as the area. $16.99 for our meal. The sausage links aren't the typical small full of preservatives that a lot of restaurants use. These are larger and DELICIOUS!!! Worth it for me. And the waitress was very kind and good did a great job."

"**they only serve breakfast** online it says they’re open for all meals but they only serve breakfast items and close at 2 pm. the hotel coupons offer BOGO on ONLY the ~special~ menu which includes the items with stars next to them (slim options). ordered the sunrise breakfast. we were disappointed that their “hash browns” are actually tater tots. everything else was good! friendly staff but they didn’t have any music on and throughout the entire meal some of the employees were in the kitchen laughing and squealing SO loud we could hear them from our table across the room. it was obnoxious"

"Visiting the Mackinaw area and was looking for an upscale restaurant for a special occasion and found the Lighthouse Restaurant. They do need to teach their people that answer the phone some proper /business phone etiquette. We were delayed a few minutes , called to let them know we were possibly running 5-10 minutes late for our reservation, and were told they couldn't hold our table . A half hour after we arrived (5 minutes late) the restaurant was practically empty. We had an appetizer that was mediocre at best . Our dinners came as ordered and were good ( not exceptional) , but good. Service was good , nice atmosphere , prices weren't to bad .But definitely need to do a little work if they really want to be upscale like they try to come across as."
