"I've always wanted to check this out. Glad we made the stop. There's about 5 different buildings. One building plays a movie on a loop. There's one that's furnished like it was back when it was used. Then there's a couple with historical artifacts. It's very cool. The mannequins are so life like. All the shipwreck artifacts are interesting. You can spend hours looking and reading. Definitely an enjoyable experience."
"Always an amazing and beautiful experience! Phenomenal views. Hiking trails and you can walk the beach at the point. Pets are allowed. Great selections in the gift shop. It's free to walk around but costs to get into the museum."
"Its a beautiful spot. Hauntingly so. If you listen carefully on the beach, every lost soul in the big lake sings a familiar song.... The museum is exceptional and highly recomended, out buildings are period authentic, and very interesting. Parking lot improvements, very much an actual improvement but h/c spots are minimal.....Do yourself a favor, pack a lunch and make the trip!"
"Awesome museum. It is full of artifacts and interesting stories. It's a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the time. The drive is also beautiful along the lake superior shoreline and through the U.P. woods."
"Did not expect this place to be so nice. Unfortunately we did not get there until after 6pm so the museum was closed. However, the grounds remain open which is so nice of them to do. We were able to walk around and take some nice shots before heading out to see the sunset on Lake Superior."
