"While visiting Auburn for the ACD Club Festival, I happened upon Nature's Mercantile. From the first step in the door I was greeted with happy employees (or possible owner) and an aroma that also was just happy! I bought a candle to use in my hotel room that didn't smell particularly good (the hotel room), but I didn't have any way to light it. I asked if they sold matches and they did not, but the girl that greeted me when I walked in said, "hold on a minute," and left. She was back a moment later with a book of matches! The scents of the candles made it hard to choose and there were many other items here that if I lived in town, I would be back there often. On top of great service, when I lit the candle and let it burn for a couple hours, it did it's job in the room and it barely seemed to burn down at all. I am looking forward to continuing to burn the candle at home. Overall, a short encounter that left a positive experience from kind people and a great product!"

"Nature's Mercantile is a wonderful, local, treasure of Historic Downtown Auburn. Local artisan created soaps, candles, lotions, and more as well as collaborations with other local providers to offer teas, coffees, kombucha, jerkeys, and lots of other foods. Wonderful decor, paying homage to earth and life. In addition to all this, there are educational classes for kids and groups to learn the craft of candle and soap making."
