"Somehow the mobile app locked me out and several attempts to fix it failed so I called and they were not able to fix it so I guess it is time to search for a bank that will let me see my account online without a bunch of hassle."
"I came here to close my accounts, simply because the branch near me (Holland branch) is so bad that trying to get any help at all would take hours. Yes, I'm not kidding, hours. It's not because they're busy, but because everyone is either just sitting with their doors closed doing nothing, there's no help because no one wants to work there, or their very lazy, slovenly manager is too busy standing around gossiping to help anyone. So, I came here. I was with 5/3 for over 30 years and most of the time was satisfied. It's gone so downhill the past couple years, however that I just couldn't take it any longer and moved to Chase, which is 100% better. Better app, better service, and better account selection. When I came here to close my accounts, I could see that the 5/3 problem definitely comes from higher up. I had already assumed this, due to the problems I'd had not only with the branch, but with their call center, their MC department, their fraud center, and their app department, none of which have been helpful at all in the last two years. Going in to the app store and looking at all of the REAL 1, 2, and 3 star reviews will give an idea what I'm talking about. The woman at 5/3 could only nid her head and acknowledge once that she knew there was a problem. When I finally insisted that they needed to get it together if they didn't want a lot more people like me coming in, and showed her all the bad reviews on the app, she looked surprised, as if she had no idea how bad it is. How can you work somewhere and not be aware of just how badly a place is doing? This either means that the company isn't concerned, and therefore not sharing the importance of stepping it up with their employees, or the employees just don't care enough to stay informed. I believe it's a little of both. I out the responsibility firmly on the shoulders of upper management though. When things get this bad, always look to management. Either get it together, fix yourself, dump the bad management and bad employees, and get your house in order, or prepare to go down with the ship. You've got a huge leak in it and you're going to go down like the Titanic. You've hit an iceberg, you're taking on water, and you either aren't aware, or you just don't care"
"Friday ATM didn't work. Sunday ATM didn't work. Both days i had to go to other 5/3 locations. Ridiculous.."
"Lost my debit card and decided to call the number on a Sunday to have a new one expedited to me for the 30.00 fee. I didn’t have it by Wednesday so I stopped into this branch to find out what was going on. Spoke with Hasmah (I believe that’s how it’s spelled) who looked into the issue and told me everything was fine. The card was still being expedited and I should have it the next day and if for some reason I didn’t have it by Friday to stop back in. Friday came and no card. I spoke to another rep who looked into it and said the expediting was canceled. And the card was now on it’s way priority mail. How does this happen? How do I call and request a replacement immediately (totally willing to pay the fee), not get it…be told by a manager at a local branch everything looks fine and it should be here in the next day or so. Only to later be told…”we canceled the expediting and decided to send it priority instead…. We did this without contacting you of course. Why would would it possibly be pertinent to contact the customer in this situation. It’s only your bank card!” Terrible customer service in my opinion. Like so terrible…I’ll be looking for a new bank that can handle simple requests like needing a replacement debit card right away."
"I don't know if its because of Corona but I always pull money out from 5/3 Bank. I get my money deposited on card and expect an extra fee. Now I come to the bank and there is a new thing going on. It said only can take out $400 per transaction. I already get charged a fee to withdraw money and thats okay. I had to get charged an extra fee cause I needed $500 dollars. So I had to withdraw twice. I never had a problem pulling money out before."
