U-Haul Moving & Storage of Trotwood

"It seems every time I visit this location there is a problem. On my most recent visit I was told there would be a 50 mile minimum deposit to rent a truck. (I was going 5 miles) Also this is a location rule and not a U-Haul rule. So U-Haul did not relay this information to me on the phone, because they do not know about it . What?? So I had to re-book my reservation on the app to avoid this fee/ management level rule…Another waste of time I could have avoided. Again, EVER TIME I visit this location there is an issue with information between U-Haul and this particular location’s rules. I will try to rent from another location moving forward, just an inconvenience as this is closest to my home."

"The worker was absolutely AMAZING this rating has 0 to do with him, he gets a 5 star from me. SHAME ON YOU U-HAUL, that man was in there busting his butt for your company on his day off AFTER pulling a 14 hour shift the day before. That is how you lose great employees like the gentleman that was in your store. Be better U-Haul…."

"Horrible service, so many issues and time wasted. First when I arrive I'm greeted by a rude Matthew Barn hill. Zero customer service. My drivers license is VALID and doesn't expire until 2024. It's the old version due to covid and my health condition I couldn't get in to the mva to update it. He refuses to give me the trailer I have reserved a week prior to this pick up. No where on there website states you need the newest drivers license. Fine lucky my wife had hers now we have to redo the whole order in her name! With rude Matthew. Now that's out of the way.Matthew informs us we cannot have the trailer now because the hitch I have isn't the right weight rating. (Rudely) Total crock of you know what. See pictures attached of what I had vs what I eventually purchased. So we left looking for a hitch ball to Matthew's weight rating. 45 minutes driving around town no luck. We call uhaul they inform us the location we were at had 6 INSTOCK! Why wouldnt Matthew tell us this! So we go back and purchase this special hitch ball. Now we're off cant get away fast enough. Guess what flat tire in the parking lot! Matthew refuses to give us another trailer without a flat or change the flat. He did give it a little air. But this wasn't enough. At this point we have had enough. Drove 45 minutes to another uhaul location. 4 hours of wasted time. Terrible experience ! Avoid this place! Management please hire people who actually want to help and know what they are doing"
