"I have belonged to a handful of military credit unions thru the decades and this is the only one that accepts ANYBODY that has a dollar to their name. The other CU I belong to only accepts active duty military and military vets/retirees. ATM at most WPCU locations are hogged by non-military people & their kids or youth making our waiting times long....over 10 minutes sometimes. I don't go inside their locations much, but when I do, I have great service. Just seems this is the only military credit union that accepts anybody and I mean anybody for members. Seems strange to me because there are many civilian credit unions for them around the Dayton metro area. 3 stars I rate this Wright Patt Credit Union."
"1 star because you cant give 0. -Never again would I ever do business with WPCU. We suffered a job loss, however never were late on a truck payment, not even once. We PROACTIVELY called WPCU to explain the situation, and let them know we found a dealership willing to pay us X amount of $ for the vehicle and to see if we could continue to make payments on the small amount that was left. A staff member got Management's approval for us to do so and we were so thankful. I called the day we went to the dealership to get a letter of guarantee to prove to dealership that WPCU would release title upon receipt of agreed amount. Rep told me no need for the letter to be given to me, that they would send it directly to the dealership when the dealership calls to get payoff. Fast forward to getting to dealership, they call WPCU and then are told NO they wont send letter that dealership themselves need to send one. Dealership was very confused, explained NEVER in the history of doing business w/WPCU did they themselves send over a letter of guarantee, that the title holder sends it. WPCU refused to send a letter that they verbally agreed to us to release title upon receipt of payment. WPCU said the dealership needed to make a letter stating that WPCU would release title. MAKES ZERO SENSE. WHY, WHYYYY would a dealership create a letter FOR WPCU stating what WPCU will or wont do? The call then was escalated and the person at WPCU (manager over collections/repo) which btw: our loan was in good standing and again never has been late 1x....was EXTREMELY rude. The dealership was so apologetic stating they've never seen this happen to someone before and was very confused on why the woman on the phone was yelling at us and screaming that it wasnt their responsibility to send a letter of guarantee of a promise they were making. Needless to say, we will never-ever do business with WPCU again. Absolutely unprofessional and atrocious customer service. If I had a dollar for everytime this woman said "sorry you feel that way"...never once did I get a sorry for their entire department not being on the same page and how one staff would say one thing and another staff another thing, it was "sorry YOU feel that way". It made me want to gouge out my own eyes it was so infuriating. Zeroooo sense of customer service skills or problem solving, instead customer blaming!!!"
"Firstly very happy I bank with WPCU, but I met someone today at the Colonel Glenn WSU location and I've never had such a friendly and deep conversation. Tiffany was awesome and I would recommend seeing her to anyone"
"I’ve have nothing but positive experiences at this branch. They were great at getting me and my son set up with our new accounts, explained everything detail and did a follow up call two weeks later to check on us. I’m glad I chose WPCU to handle my banking needs."
"Their dispute system is horrible, they won't fix their ATM, and they don't honor their promises. I have contacted no less than five people to resolve this issue. I hate to leave a negative review but unfortunately this has not resolved."
