"First exposure to this place was a young kids tournament on a quiet day, PGA tour junior league. They implemented a two hour cutoff despite nobody waiting. They drove out to retrieve us to tell us we were done time to leave. Kids were disappointed not getting to finish and the only time I've experienced this in that league over two years. Not a good experience for the kids, not something that makes people want to come back. The kids did not understand. The course itself was beautiful...so there's your two stars."

"We picked Wetherington for our reception because it was the whole package: stunning venue with nice picture locations, reasonable pricing, and good staffing per table. We should have known it was too good to be true. Since this is the first wedding either of us had planned we had no idea what to expect. We got a complimentary tasting which we were excited about, but did not realize they do one large group tasting a year in January or February with all of the couples. Since our wedding was in April we wanted something earlier so that we could get our RSVP cards out to our guests. They tried to accommodate but the times did not work out so we decided we would just do the big tasting event. Not long after we decided, we got an email saying the prices were increasing (just over 4 months before our wedding). The reasoning was that they had a new chef with a whole new menu (the menu changed slightly, but not worth the significant price increase in our opinion). We were left with no other choice but to stay at that point and deal with the increase in prices. We had already printed our invitations and made the arrangements. Unfortunately, the contract for the venue states pricing is subject to change, so we were stuck. Fast forward to the day of the event. The venue was beautiful, but we were not happy with the quality of service we received, especially at the price we paid. -They did not have the staffing per table as promised. -The staff also never checked in on us during cocktail hour. We were standing at the front in the welcome line, so we were not able to walk around and find the appetizers ourselves. We were lucky to get any of the appetizers, and that was only because one of the bridesmaids happened to ask if we had any yet. -We had several guests tell us after the reception that the servers had cleared the dinner plates before they were done eating, while they were away getting drinks. -Many guests told us they didn't get to try the chocolate cake, even though we were sent home with a whole layer of uncut chocolate cake (apparently we had to specify that we wanted both flavors cut, not just one flavor at a time). This was also disappointing because of how much we had paid for the cake. The venue was great, but the events leading up to the wedding were very frustrating and difficult. It's expected that not everything will go perfectly as planned, but to hear that even our guests noticed the shortfall of the reception service was upsetting to say the least considering the price we paid."

"The Wetherington Golf & Country Club is an amazing venue for your wedding! The grounds are beautiful, so many great photo locations! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The inside is absolutely gorgeous and has a ton of natural light! I highly recommend this venue!"

"A very classy, ​​clean and tidy place. Basketball and volleyball courts are good. The children's play area is clean and good, and you spend fun times in the place.. I congratulate the owners of the place and those who live in it frankly."

Our open bar was a hit with our guests. And the staff was superb. Great location with parking. Wonderful scenery for photos. The price was very reasonable. We had the perfect wedding and reception."
