Reviews of Marsh Building Products
"Great customer service and friendly staff."
"UPDATE: since posting the below review I have had 7, yes 7 negative experiences with Sean that have so far cost me 20 weeks of delays (my door mistake cost me nearly 2.5 months), extended time on the phone, and a small financial cost ($200). I also took $6000 worth of interior door business to a competitor because of the same issues with him, I just got lucky and realized it before I was obligated to Marsh. Eric, the new manager at Ft. Thomas is working with me along the way, but today I just had about all I could take. I will thoroughly update this review once everything is worked out and I have a full tally of cost and delays and experience. Just know that it has since been awful. Sean is a great salesman but knows very little about the products he orders and makes way too many assumptions to be a quality salesperson. If this were my business, he would not work in it. I would strive to hire or train people that know at least as much about the products they sell as the products website displays. Original Review: I had a slightly negative experience here a couple years ago. I hadn’t really needed to go back so I had been going elsewhere for my supplies. I shopped all over for replacement windows (Pella, Anderson, etc.) and decided to try here as a last resort as I just wasn’t finding what I wanted. Marsh carries many types of vinyl windows and Marvin is their high end historical replacement windows. I worked with Sean to discuss some options and after leaving from my first visit I knew I was going to buy here. Sean was light years ahead of the competition on knowledge and service and working with him was 70% of the reason I chose Marsh. The windows are quality and the price was very competitive. Sean worked patiently with me as I asked questions and even quickly responded to me when I had questions after my order arrived. I will undoubtedly be ordering more materials from here and continuing to work with Sean. I can’t stress enough how impressed I was working with him."
"***Update 06/17 Ken and Pat, two of the men that run the organization, call me and resolved all of my issues. ***Original Post I am sure that there are some people that have a good experience here, but I did not. The people that work at the counter and in the warehouse are very friendly and helpful. The people in management on the financial and credit side of the operation are incapable of looking at you as anything more than a number on a screen, specifically Steve Tester. One day I was on my way to pick up coil from them for a job and out of nowhere they told me that I had a months old invoice that supposedly was not paid and locked my account out. I have spent thousands of dollars at this place. I bought a brand new gutter machine from this place. And then one day they decide to treat me and speak to me like I’m a criminal because of an oversight on their end. My last conversation was with the branch manager of the Loveland operation Keith. Upon explaining the situation to Keith his response was that he didn’t think we were a good fit for each other, which I agreed with. At no point did anyone from Marsh accept responsibility for the issue. Their only response was locking out my account and demanding that I stop everything and tend the an issue caused by an oversight on their end. Again, the people that work the counter (DJ, Cowan, Brenda, and more) and in the warehouse (I cannot remember any names) were very helpful and provided great customer service, as well as the guys who deliver gutter. As long as they don’t pull an invoice out of a file from a month ago and claim you didn’t pay for it you may have a good experience here."
"Ordered windows in 2005, had a seal go bad in a window in 2018 right before listing our house for sale. Called and they had a new window made and replaced it at no cost. That is what I consider a Company that backs their products. Getting ready to replace the windows in our newest remodel. Marsh is my first call for sure."
"After spending weeks trying to get a firm answer about whether I could get a certain kind of siding, how much and how long to come in, Missy gave me the answer in 5 minutes. I physically went in to Gillman's Do it Best, 38 Lumber, Lowes and Home Depot. All said they would get back to me with the information. Had to call back several times. Then, had to go back in and tell someone else that these people didn't follow through to get any info. Lowes gave me a price where something had to be wrong because the total price didn't match the boxes times the amount per box. I realize these places are not just siding places but my gosh, they all said they would take care of it. Missy looked it up right when I called and gave me an accurate estimate which made sense for what I was ordering. It was very refreshing (unfortunately)!"
